Aerosmith on TV for basketball championship. I was assigned security for Stephen Tyler when they came through on, I think Pump, tour. I thought they looked old then. (25 years about). I remember it being Hamilton's 40th birthday. Means they are mid60s. They look mid 80s.
Some friends went to Hawaii about 15 years ago. A group set up shop next to them on the beach one day. Their thoughts were, "The one guy looks just like Aerosmith Dude in drag". It was Steven Tyler.

Going to drive over to the USFWS refuge by the airport and get a Senior Pass to national parks and stuff. $10 for life.* And, no, you cannot have one, not even KC is old enough.

* Probably counting on me dying before I use it much.

My brother and sister-in-law have gone to an impressive number of the national parks with that pass. At least they are getting $10, as opposed to another senior citizen's attitude, which is to gut their department by a few billion, then donate the $78,000 salary he wasn't gonna take.

He traveled with a woman who was his wardrobe and make up specialist. Not saying his look had a feminine flair, but he was eerily dressed and made up just like the specialist come showtime.

These last couple pages made me think about retirement. Made me kinda understand the correlation between men retiring and kicking the bucket soon after.

I was so mad that UNC won that I really didn't pay a lot of attention to One Shining Moment last night. Watched it at lunch.

Cyclone sightings: Bowie "phoning it in" and a monster one-handed dunk from Burton. Didn't see any of the others (Monte, Naz, Matty, Solo...) either in a group or individually.

Why? Because they annoy their wives to the point of us having to find ways to hide the body?

I have three acres of woods to choose from...

My dream is for the NCAA to strip UNC of all their wins and titles since 1993. Then they can record removing the banners and throwing them into a bonfire.

Score that recording with "One Shining Moment" and require they show it on the video board before every single UNC home game.

How was the show? I'm kinda curious to find out what the age demographic was like.

The show was very good. All age groups were represented. I saw a kid about 5yrs old, and saw quite a few couples who had to be in their 60's. When Billie Joe asked, "Who loves classic Green Day?" most of the kids screaming were probably not even born when those songs came out. They are known for pulling people on stage. The 40-something woman who swore she knew the lyrics didn't and sang way off key. The drummer they pulled was a 15 yr old girl that goes to school with some of my daughter's friends. She was good. And the guitarist was probably in her late teens/early 20's. Daughter was jealous because that girl got to keep the guitar after playing with the band.
I think they should sell floor seats according to height. ;) Chance you take, plus half the time expletive had their hands in the air taking pictures/recording. We could still see enough, though.

Both my older boys listened to this album and other similar ones from birth. Caleb's favorite band for quite a while was Green Day because of it. So there's a decent chance some of those kids know their Dookie. ;);)

Yeah, it was obvious some of those young'ins knew their stuff. :) Just like how my 13yr old knew more GnR than me at one point and could tell you which album it is on and who was playing on that album.

I just had to remind her Billie Joe Armstrong is another rocker who is older than her dad. And that her favorite aunt used Good Riddance as their graduation song 20+ years ago.

Out of curiousity, who did they use for encore or to close? Always curious what long term bands consider their big hits.

North Carolina makes me puke.

My beef with this edition of One Shining Moment: do we really need to see more of Julia Louis Dreyfus and Aaron Rodgers on TV? Could we get one more glimpse of some great college basketball players instead? I don't remember seeing Bill Murray, wonder if he's pissed?

Does anyone know what happens to Phil Simms now that he has been replaced by Tony Romo? Did he retire or basically get dumped?
