On to Football Season

This is a big debate for Iowa fans, just how much the ISU game hurts Iowa's SOS. What is clearly a top 25 schedule becomes the #44 schedule strength because of the ISU game.

As if you really need to worry about SOS. And if you do, maybe think about playing someone better than North Texas. I'm actually all for getting rid of the Cy-Hawk, but as long as it's scheduled...just win the damn game and quit complaining about it. Iowa will have a hard enough time winning in Ames.

Iowa goes 11-1 in the regular season - only loss is to Iowa State
Iowa Loses to OSU 14-13 in the B1G Championship on a last second Touchdown
Iowa loses to someone in the Outback Bowl by a score of 63-13

ISU goes 6-6
ISU beats Colorado in the Cactus Bowl

Should be an interesting year for both schools. Looking forward to it.

I think Iowa will do better than people think. Expectations are pretty low so that's when Iowa performs well and Ferentz hasn't had much time to ruin the new QB yet.

Why is this so low? Guarded optimism? Seems with ISU's schedule this year that a bowl game should be expected I would think.

5 is low? I mean I had a Hawkeye fan tell me Kansas State isn't one of the better teams in the conference and they are going to be a preseason top 25 team. I've been convinced the Big 12 is going to be loaded this upcoming year if that is the case
