I'm so old, I never had to to do the Presidential Physical Fitness thing myself. But I could do a ton of chin ups on the pole that held up the clothes line until I finally got hips and boobs around the beginning of 8th grade. Before that, I just didn't have that much weight to pull up. I'll have to have the boys show me how to dead hang and hopefully not hang dead. They like to show me how to lift weights and the like so they can laugh at me. But they did brag on me when I finally benched 100 lbs again.

Was it King George's physical fitness back then or did we have the articles during that timeframe.

Thanks for all the responses, made the decision rather clear. These are all Police Department's that I'm applying for. Which is a small knit community around the Central Iowa area, but I won't be living / applying for any Police Departments in Ames or Iowa.

William the Conqueror. I suppose maybe it was required and our school might have just blown it off, but never heard of it until my kids did it. Hell, it's a bigger deal at our school than the honor roll. At least I can find his sit and reach record in the school gym but his valedictorian plaque is somewhere behind the tray racks in the cafeteria.

As someone who probably had a BMI in the low thirties most of their life, physical fitness was never my thing.

I always just assume that if you have a person in your avatar, that they look somewhat like you. So even though I know that's Neil Patrick Harris, I also just assume you look a lot like him or at least have a very similar build as him
