***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

Whoa. One game I watched late in the year he looked really good.
Yeah, I think I may have been watching the same game. I like his game, but was surprised by his stats listed. Thought he would have a little better shooting percentage than he did, but that could be a product of that offense, idk, didn't watch enough Virginia.

But thought this article was interesting, from only 5 days ago, and shows about his character.

That is the type of mind-set you want from a player... not sure what it says that he is leaving 5 days after that was written, but still like to hear that type of stuff out of a player.

Maybe he's leaving cause he thinks his coach threw that game against UF.

Think we can invoke the little known don't-have-to-sit-out-a-year-if-your-team-doesn't-hit-40-in-an-NCAA-tournament-game-because-you-deserve-freedom-from-that-**** clause and he can play immediately?

That dude has unreal moves (at times). He could turn into a dominant offensive player with a little work.

Last year when we were preparing to play UVA, I studied them a little bit and he jumped out big time. I would have thought this was a breakout year for him, the guy is very skilled. He'll redshirt right? That year could be huge for him. He's from Ontario, I wonder if he has any times to our other Canadian players.

I think my wish list right now:

Juiston
Wilson/Thorpe/Brown
Caruso (Princeton grad transfer)
Best available (Shayok?)

Would Shayok be considered the top guard who has put their transfer name out there so far?

I would think the New Mexico St guy would get more attention because he doesn't have to sit out. You gotta use 2 scholarship years for one year of Shayok.

Elijah Brown certainly has the best numbers, but he played at New Mexico, and his numbers don't scream efficiency. But he certainly fits the mold of a Hoiberg transfer, and he's immediately eligible.

Shayok appears to have the best experience.

Both Marial Shayok and Jarred Reuter are transferring from UVA. Like others have mentioned, this may say something about Tony Bennett... Indiana maybe? I think he is the type to hold out for blue blood openings and Indiana is exactly that.

I think I would be on a plane to Virginia (or where ever he lives) about now.

I wouldn't. Sit one, play one isn't that appetizing to me for a guy who wasn't all that efficient and and doesn't give you much else. I'd rather have the guy from Princeton at this point. If we were able to get Juiston, that kid, and Edwards, that would be a pretty good haul. I'm sure they'll kick the tires on the NMSU kid but that's going to be a real battle.
