Once again Iowa State fans showed up! I watched almost every second of every game possible yesterday. Most arenas had the typical NCAA Tournament crowd, a small mix of all teams. Most arenas sounded dead.

Not Milwaukee.

Aside from Northwestern in Salt Lake City, Iowa State had the loudest and best fan base, hands down. The arena was clad with cardinal and gold (thanks a little to the Gophers ;)) and sounded great on TV.

Well done CycloneNation!

Big game coming up...expect a 50-50 type of split between ISU and Purdue fans, although I know the fan base that will be louder! Absolutely great hearing the crowd trying to pump up the Cyclones when Nevada made their run(s) in the 2nd half...definitely a momentum changer!

StubHub/SeatGeek etc. in-the-door price is 140-ish for tomorrow FYI. If you are thinking about going you should make the trip. An NCAA Tournament game is special and if you are waiting for KC next weekend... there may not be a KC without a home-court advantage this weekend!

It will be interesting to see how tomorrow pans out. ALOT of Purdue fans down in Chicago that Im sure will be heading up.

Here's to a big win tomorrow and KU getting beat Sunday! That way I can be one of 15,000 Iowa State fans in the Sprint Center next week!

I wish I could do both but as someone in their early 20s, two weekends would cost more than I'd like to spend at the moment.

My mother walked up to will-call at gametime yesterday and got a single ticket in the third to last row of the lower bowl, almost mid-court, for $100. So I am sure there will be tickets to be had for Saturday

Significantly different. 9pm on a school/work night vs. a saturday night game. I wouldn't count on tickets being as easy to get as thursday night. Especially with the travel distance of both fanbases being what it is. Perfect distance for a special road trip. Pudue fans will bring some numbers this time and we always travel.

I think the other 2 (Buttler and MTSU) are not so fortunate, so you could get lucky and buy a vacating group's tickets, but milwaukee is no Kansas City. No PandL to go unload your tickets if your team loses. Obviously the other mini-pod's fans aren't going to bring a ton of fans to the stadium, but PU and ISU have a lot of fans in Milwaukee and a ton in Chicago to boot. I don't think it will be an easy ticket.

I have never thought Purdue travels well, but I could be wrong.

I was there last night for the Purdue and ISU games. Not a lot of Purdue fans even for their game. ISU dominated the arena.

Not sure how it works for Bradley Center, but last year the Pepsi Center would release unsold Club level tickets to the public when the club members didn't buy them. I believe this happened about 24 hours before the games last year. Got some good club level corners for face value when I couldn't even get crappy uppers for twice that on stubhub.

I live in the Twin Cities and they had a reporter in Milwaukee to cover the Gopher's flop. He commented multiple times about how many Iowa State fans were there and joked that ISU fans would be buying up all the Gopher fans tickets. He said the ISU turnout dwarfed all the other teams. Pretty awesome to hear.
ISU fans definitely dwarfed all other teams turnouts. I was there and will be on Saturday. Purdue fans were sitting on their hands.
