Usual No Favors

Perspective. Had we gotten the 11:00 Thursday game, we'd ***** about that too. Any 4 seed, we'd be worried about.

I realized tonight that pretty much any scenario is cause for concern. Which really means that no scenario is cause for concern.

To a degree, yes, but Purdue has long been on the bad matchup list and those times suck.

As much as I prefer KU over other #1 seeds, KU in KC keeps our tradition of rough draws. Plus Purdue is one of the few teams I didn't want, and the 9pm Thursday game is the worst time.

1. I have no issue. Every one seed gets seeded near a home court. Plus we just won in the Sprint Center. Our guys love that place. Basically a neural court.

2. Basically no Big 10 school besides maybe Wisconsin scares me. Purdue is big and slow and we should run them out of the gym.

3. I'd rather play later than earlier on Thursday. Gives us time to wake up and get moving. We don't have a good history of playing the early session on a Thursday.

Would have had Purdue in second round last year if they would have made it out of first round.

I like the draw as well as any other. Nevada is tough, but plays our style. Purdue has a beast inside, but I think we would have a decided advantage in the back court. Any team after that is going to be seriously tough, and at least, should we get KU, we know we can play and match up with them, and the site is second to none.

What? I don't understand how you can complain about it that much. Any other region and it is not even close to Ames. As far as logistically for the team they have a 5 1/2 hour trip to the first location and a 3 1/2 hour trip to the second location.

Purdue has a great post player but he is prone to turnovers (over 3 per game). Plus they wont be able to play to their advantage (size) otherwise they will get torn apart when ISU is on offense. Haas cannot guard anyone with any resemblance of foot speed.

As far as the 9 o'clock start its not a huge deal IMO just because they can go through a pretty normal day of prep for an away game. The early games are the ones that mess up the routine, and the best thing you can do is stay as close to routine as possible.

Just my opinion, but it could be much worse.
