Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

3.93 to 3.3 wins per team, not as big of gap when looking at the big picture. It's just easy to say top 5 of Big 10 to make them look better than add in all the **** at the bottom of the conference. Gotta love cherry picking.

Top 5 teams of each conference is 47 to 31. Just to help you out I'm dropping off all the really bad teams for the Big12 as the bottom 5 only contributed 2 wins. Plus only about 5-7 teams go a year from the conference anyway. So that is 9.4 WPY to 6.2 WPY for the top 5 of each conference.

Everyone knows the Big12 is really bad in the NCAA tournament over the last 5 years. I just didn't realize it was this bad.

I thought I would expand to the ACC.

Duke 10
UNC 12
Louisville 15 (wow while not making it last year, didn't expect them being the best ACC team while only getting 4 year in)
Syracuse 12
Virginia/ND both 6

So the top 5 of ACC has 55. I would have guessed they were better than the BigTen and of course way better than the Big12, and I was right.

Oh plus 2 National Championships

I wouldn't give a crap about him on offense because other than maybe Solomon he'd have always been the least skilled offensive player who got minutes for ISU. I'd actually hope he didn't shoot to give more opportunities to others. I would gladly have taken him on the offensive and defensive glass, running on breaks, and getting 50/50 balls though. He's one of the better players I've seen lately at coming up with the ball on loose ball plays.

He does everything a team needs him to do that doesn't show up in the stat sheet. He can shoot the 3, he can rebound, he blocks shots, he plays good D, he is good in transition, he can finish in traffic on both put backs or drives. He does suck at FT for some reason, but outside of that is a coaches dream with no ego, and all effort.

No ego, all effort, limited athleticism, etc.

Great role player.

Coaches dream Hahaha

And there's a reason Iowa needs someone like Baer to come off the bench.
Ouch, that is a pretty weak conference when the top 5 BigTen teams have 47 NCAA wins, and the whole of the Big12 has 33 NCAA wins. Can that be right? I must have messed my number up, or these Big12 numbers are wrong. That can't possibly be right. The BigTen can't possibly be that much better than the Big12

You've spent some time on this.

I'm picturing someone all garbed in a lot of yellow and black, lots of yellow and black on the walls surrounding a pic of Hayden Fry and one of Iowa's 3 loss Rose Bowl teams, and Journey.

Lots and lots of Journey.

Can't fight this feeling anymore, I can't remember what I started fighting for.

Oh wait screw you.

You looked up all those facts and won't look up this one, Lol get outta here with that weak stuff

Jbo, now I feel bad. If anyone is an expert at spooning out the weak sauce it is you.

Ok I looked it up. Iowa has 10 NCAA victories to Rutgers 0.

You're bad at this

You know the answer, why ask the question? You put out obviously bait, just because other Hawk fans take it doesn't mean I'm going to.

You seem to only be interested in throwing out troll bait and trolling Hawk fans, so get used to me picking and choosing when to reply, I'm not into taking your bait.

I honestly don't know the answer but I'm pretty certain Rutgers has more wins

Look up to the top of the page, then look to your left. See that logo up there, yeah, the one that says Cyclone Fanatic, that means you are on Cyclone Fanatic. Not quite sure what you expect here, but this isn't a Pro Hawkeye board. I don't consider it trolling when anyone on the board of the team they are on, calls out fans of other teams who visit here. We aren't here to pump up your team and your ego, we're here to pump up Cyclone stuff. If that means we bash other programs, then that's the way it is. I assume it's that way on Hawkeye boards, but I wouldn't know, I don't go there.

I mean, would you call it trolling if some random dude came in to your house, sat on your couch, started eating all your food, yelled at you for having ****** food and then **** up the bathroom, then to get him to leave, you threw insults at him?

Again, I'm not quite sure what you are looking for here. This isn't a general college sports forum, it's Cyclone Fanatic.

He has two more years, I've seen enough to know it's not out of the question but the NBA is a long shot for anyone. I know Baer won't make the NBA.

Not saying I wouldn't take Baer but I can't say I would take him over Babb. It wasn't just Prohm saying Babb had the best NBA potential, I believe Monte and Naz did as well

The only chance of seeing Baer associated with the NBA is via an Aspirin commercial.

I knew the Big 12 was terrible in the tournament too, but didn't realize it was that bad. Maybe they make some noise this year to offset their terrible appearances in the past.

How many of those victories are from Michigan St and Wisconsin, as compared to the rest of the Big 10? Just curious.
