Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Somebody did. I'm still skeptical. It seems to me that being an ISU fan and KSU fan living in Eastern Iowa is a bit odd and would be notably troll-worthy.

Lol, I live in Des Moines, I have family ties to K-State, I love ISU but follow Iowa also. Thats all there is to it.

Whoa, now we're talking last year when we didn't have Naz and Jackson? Prohm isn't going to play 10 guys and worry about hiding him on defense. You're wrong on this one

True, he only did get time with Naz injury. I'll defer to ISU fan on if a shooter would get minutes on the team, it certainly doesn't bother me either way if Jordan would get minutes on ISU team or not.

You realize that was last year when we had no backcourt depth? Ashton wouldnt even sniff the floor on this years team, thats why he left for UNI.

True, see my response above.

I'm not sure why the vitriol for Jordan? He is what he is, a shooting guard forced to play PG.

I dont see any way Bohannon would play at all on this years ISU team. If he did it would be in mopup roles.

Jakolby Long was rated alot higher of a recruit than Bohannon and he cant even get meaningful minutes. There just wouldnt be any minutes for Bohannon this season.

I think Bohannon is decent and hes obviously a good shooter. That being said, hes small, and his defense is bad, I just dont see anyway he would play for ISU this season. I dont know who he would be good enough to take minutes away from. Jackson already should be playing more than he is, we just have a logjam back there.

If Ashton can get minutes last year, there is room for some minutes for a guy who can actually play.

I'm not saying Jordan would get many minutes and he certainly wouldn't play PG. If a guy can hit 40% of his threes and has range out to 25', you find him some minutes no matter what his name is.

Are you really comparing last years team to this years team depth wise? Ashton and Cooke both saw the court for short spurts last year because we didn't have another option. JorBo wouldn't see the floor for this years squad and I don't know how you could even make a case for it.

Like I said I certainly don't know ISU well enough to speak on rotations, etc.

I like Jordan, If Iowa could bring in a another PG and slide Jordan to the SG spot more, I think he would do even better being more of a combo guard.

I think that is your problem, Fran has been failing miserably in bringing in a top point guard. Gessell was a huge bust imo and Bohannon is a shooter not a facilitator.

I've made the same comment but his lack of size could make that difficult. Watch Forte for Okie St. That dude has to work his *** off to get open looks and he's a lot quicker that JorBo That's on a much more balanced team than what Iowa has this year or what they will have next year.

They're already over the scholarship limit, don't see Fran bringing in another PG so hopefully Bohannon is your PG for the next 3 years

I think Jordan would get minutes as he is a great shooter. He is a Fr bombing away from 25' and he is hitting 40% of them. Now he wouldn't play 1 single min of PG for ISU, but if Prohm couldn't find minutes for a 40% 3 pt shooter, shame on Prohm.

But he is not a 40 % shooter. With his last great game...he managed to raise his percentage to 37. Before that ONE great night, which Hok fans will talk about for decades no doubt, he was hitting at a 34 % clip from behind the arc. That would make him a worse 3 point shooter than every starter on ISU's team, including Burton. The 37% gets him to a virtual tie with Deonte (36.9). I don't think any ISU fan will call Deonte a great shooter......ever. Next game he is likely to go 2/10, or worse.

Hok fans think Little Bo is a great shooter from 3 because he is the best on their team from distance who is allowed to play any minutes. The best outside shooter is BE at like 50% but in his wisdom and brilliant use of his strange, chaotic, indefensible or explainable rotation system Mad Fran cannot seem to find many minutes for a great outside shooter.

I don't know if he would be in the rotation or not. It's pretty obvious he can shoot, he is a shooter. If you can shoot, you're normally gonna find the floor. I would compare him to a role and minutes that a guy like Ryan McMahon plays for Louisville.

We have Naz, Matt and Donovan. No chance in hell Bohannon plays, Jakolby Long is a higher rated player and he barely played.

Prohm doesn't give out participation playing time and play the entire roster. He would be getting 0 minutes. We'd need like 3 guards to foul out for him to play, and he might still not play behind Jakolby.

C'mon, even you cant believe Jackson is better than Jok. I mean right? I love Jackson and wish he would get a few more minutes but thats the by far worse than anything I said. Not even close.

Wait... I thought you were done forever in this thread after that "bit" you were doing? You mean it really wasn't a bit... I for one am shocked.

Oh and remember when you said in this thread that ISU would be lucky to win more than 1 more game the rest of the season? Good times... good times.

Link? I never said anything remotely like this. You must have me confused with someone else.
