Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

But, but, but how can Maryland be "so bad" with an RPI of 29. Most of the people who post in here think that is the end all, be all.

For those of you saying Iowa has no shot at NCAA without reading what I wrote. They jumped 15 RPI slots today. Beat Wis & PSU, 20 more

Does Iowa have a shot at an at-large NCAA bid? Yes, and I show you the math and history to prove it: https://www.hawkeyenation.com/basketball/iowa-shot-ncaa-tournament … #Hawkeyes

That didn't take long to find.

He says right in there he doesn't think it will happen. Just made the case there is still technically a path to making it.

Well, they were a bubble team as of Feb. 3, then they won 6 of 7, making them not a bubble team.

This team wasn't going to finish worse than .500 in the conference, even at that point. That would have got them in. If the media would have done some homework they would have known that.

Well, ISU has beaten Iowa 6 out of the last 8, ..and Iowa State made their second Sweet 16 in three years last year. Iowa hasn't seen a Sweet 16 in 20 years, so.......;)
Easy conference schedule gets you more wins and a better seed in the tourney. That means easier path until you have to play a real team

Don't forget that we're going to the NCAA Tourney for the 6th year in a row, something no other team in the state of Iowa has EVER done.

Uhhhh wut? You can't be that dumb, right? By EVERY account the Big 12 is WAY tougher than the B1G by a large margin.

Oh, and we have to play every team in our conference twice. We don't escape playing teams only once. Same as in football.... Iowa's had a cake conference schedule for a long time now because they don't even play everyone. When did Iowa last have to play Ohio State in football? I can't remember back that far.

Yeah, beating Notre Dame, UConn, and North Carolina in very recent tournament games (among other lesser known programs) can't compare to only having only beat Temple and Davidson (no other wins) in the last 16 years.

That's some in depth stuff, I mean "technically" with automatic bids from conference tourneys, there are around 350 teams that still "technically" have a path to making it.
