Encapsulation of Iowa's recruits (all future) in recent SB Nation piece:

http://www.blackheartgoldpants.com/...rootin-boogie-iowa-basketball-recruiting-bhgp

My Brother-in-laws are lifelong Pyrite and Coal Dust bleeders and have been doing a lot of behind my back (rather than the usual to my face) dissing of Iowa State. My wife, their big Sis, told me they are starting to talk of next year being Fran's last if things don't go big.

Having fans that didn't go to school is good for said school's athletic department. The "they didn't go to school there!" complaint is so tired and overplayed. As a graduate of the University of Iowa I've met ******** who were graduates and I've met ******** who were non graduates and that goes for both schools.

Yeah, but Iowa's extreme fans are worse than ISU by far. I see it all the time in this part of the state.

I worked with a guy once, became friends, talked Iowa sports alot, then one day during the the Iowa-Isu football week I wore an ISU shirt on that Friday. The dude was in shock that I was an ISU fan. He treated me completely different after that.

As a graduate I think you have earned the respect to talk smack, a majority of people havent.

There are days when CyTwins casts a wide net. This is one of those days.

Chicagoland area, whatever. Most people who are from that area, who go to Iowa, say they are from Chicago, even though most of the time they're not from the actual city proper of Chicago.
Hate this, but everyone everywhere does that to people of Chicago. I bet if the first week I went to Iowa State I said I was from my town, a greater portion than not would have no Idea what/where that is. Then I say Chicago, and they all go "Ahhh, got it." But if I were to say "I'm from Chicago" they all blast me for saying that I'm from Chicago even though I'm not from the actually city. So I just decided to give up trying and started saying "Chicago-land"

Just say you're from the murder capitol of the U.S.

I'm 97% certain that jereseib is wearing a Hok shirt while sitting in front of his computer.
1% chance it is a UNI shirt
1% chance it is a Kirkwood shirt
1% chance it is a Cedar Rapids/Iowa City High School shirt.

Cubs shirt actually if you must know.

Iowa is the epitome of an average basketball team under Fran.

-If you take out his first year they are 57-48(54%) in Big Ten

-They are 8th, and 1 game behind Purdue for 7th out of 14 teams during that time period

-This year they are 15-13(7-8), assuming a zero sum game for all division 1 teams, thats 2 games above average

-They are currently 8th in Big Ten out of 14

-They have been to 2 NIT's, 2 NCAA's, and 1 Play in Game, thats 5 post-seasons in 7 years

-Their RPI is around 110 out of how many teams 360?

I dont know how you can get any more average than that when describing a basketball program.

Well you said Texas was pathetic and Iowa was average even though Texas would be a favorite on a neutral court. Dumbest thing I've heard so far in 2017

Yeah, alot dumber than Wadley sucks, the Big 10 sucks at defense, the SEC is alot better than the Big 10 in basketball, if only I hadnt said such ridiculous things like that.
