CKD's presscon just ended. JP, at the beginning, said CMC went with him to Blacksburg to help lure CKD to iSu. Pretty cool thing for CMC to do. CKD said his son was super pumped when he learned the Iowa State football coach was coming to his home.

On a side note does it really save that much time to type CKD instead of Dresser? I've never really understood the reasoning to put C in front of every coach's initials

That's pretty awesome. I remember when Campbell was hired, JP had Prohm and Campbell over to his house and they took a picture together. It is never a bad thing for your coaches to get along with each other. See KU football when they won the Orange bowl. The basketball team was causing trouble with the football team since they weren't the only big dog on campus anymore. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the reason's the AD quit supporting football in the same way so they didn't tick off the basketball team again.
It's a common practice here, so I'm going with the flow. CMC is much easier than typing Campbell each time, imo. CKD, to me, is quicker than typing Dresser, too. In the same way JFK was easier than Kennedy, RFK . . . LBJ. What's the BFD?

I think it helps to have a current coach to give his opinion on how the AD runs from the inside. Yes they are going to agree with everything JP says, but it's a second set of ears to answer questions and give examples of how the department takes care of their coaches and programs.

Cause it saves them all of 1 second (if that). Just think of all the extra things you could do if you abbreviated every coach we have
