Isn't that the student section in that picture?
Touche. Student support is garbage and has been since Alford's last couple of years. Hell they were ranked as high as number 3 in the country last year and the student support was still garbage. It's sad.

Is it that hard to understand? John Lickliter never played for Fran.

You sure about that?

Probably free ice cream night so everybody was up in the concourse.

IIRC, there was a massive blizzard that hit IC the night of the Nebby game.

Love when Hawk fans spin the old Wheel of Excuses. Here are some of my personal favorites:

"Blizzard"
"there's more to do in Iowa City"
"this is better than the Lickliter era" (even though Fran is in year 7)
"we are a young team"
"Fran sticks up for his team"
"8:00 tips are hard to get to on a week night"
"6:00 tips are hard to get to on a week night"

Feel free to add, there are plenty more...

No I get that, what is hard for me to understand is that John Lickliter played, for anyone. Lol.

Why won't hok basketball fan embrace their total failure this millenium? What drives you to come here and try chest up to us?
I really don't take any of this that seriously. I don't think I'm really puffing out my chest at all. Just here for some harmless fun.

He's not wrong. http://www.weather.gov/dvn/summary_010615
I was at the game. Iowa had just beaten #1 MSU and #14 Purdue in back to back games. Got about 7 inches of snow that day which stopped a lot of people from coming. The next home game sold out.

Huh?

The previous two games to your snow link of 1-5-15 were North Florida and Ohio State.
Iowa then lost the next home game on Jan 8th to MSU and later lost Jan 24th at Purdue.

Iowa has 3 city's less than an hour away that can fill Carver, so I can't sympathize with the weather excuse. Iowa State doesn't have that luxury and you don't see weather keeping fans from home games. Congrats on the sell out though, was the free pizza extended to Kirkwood students as well?

Well all of ISU's fans must either reside in Ames or have attended ISU so its easier for them to get to the games.

It can be hard for Tavernhoks from all throughout the state to make it if its snowing.

I come from Ankeny, the people on my left come from Cedar Rapids the people on my right come from Spirit Lake. I don't think anyone one two people in my row and the row behind me live in Ames
