Iowa Football Recruiting

Give me some stats where defense was optional in the Big Ten.

Also, in the two head-to-head games between the Big Ten and Big 12, Iowa State gave up 42 and Oklahoma gave up 45. Iowa could barely score in the Big Ten half the time, but managed a cool 42 against the Big 12. Ohio State got shut out in their bowl game, but managed a cool 45 against the Big 12.

Well that was easy

You keep giving them facts and stats, and all they can come back with is " you guys are just spewing nonsense, Wadley is the greatest running back EVER!!!" I get it's hard to accept that both their football and basketball programs are or are going to be pathetic, but these guys take the stupidity to a new level.

You are cherry picking a data point that is not statistically significant, your data point also is the most unpredictable "week" of the college football season where the Big Ten played 10 games and against better opponents overall compared to the Big 12 playing 6 games against lesser opponents overall.

You can't just cherry pick to fit your narrative.

Big Ten's average opponent was 25th in Sagarin, Big 12's was 31st. Pretty comparable teams

I really like the Raise the Standard theme and I hope they stick with that one. It seems they have jumped around a bit but to have the mentality instilled that it is unacceptable to lose is an important one.

You disappoint me. As obssesed as you are with Cyclone football then I would expected you to understand that this current staff is using a new slogan or hashtag every year.
I would say 75% of their fans at least wanted him gone. They just couldn't either get on the internet from their trailer parks, or all those Kirkwood and Coe college students didn't know how to spell Ken O'keefe's name.

This is true. If you search KOK from a campus computer there's a pretty good chance those links will be blocked.

haha, ok

Unless he gets injured, Wadley will challenge Shonn Greene's single season rushing record next year.

5'10 180 will struggle to stay healthy.

He's running behind one of the better lines in CFB. The guy could fall forward every play and rush for 1,200+. Weismann would be a great example of this. Good luck trying to impress me on his statistics.

Weisman never cracked 1000 yards in a season.

Watch Wadley play. He made elite players on an elite Michigan defense look silly.

Did you watch him in any other game but Iowa State? He was making defenses full of top 3 round talent look like idiots. Some of the cuts and runs he has made are pretty nasty. He can make people miss (a lot), and outrun people. He is also a very good pass catcher out of the backfield.

The eye test alone should tell you he is a pretty damn good college back. Go ask Herbstreit what he thought about him after the Michigan game. He was laughing and was giddy the whole game about Wadley. The stats back that up, considering he was a "backup" and split carries.

Is he the best running back in the country or ever? Hell no. But, he is definitely better than Iowa State's running backs, and he certainly doesn't suck.

Health will be a concern next year. But, health is a concern for every running back in College. Hell, freight train Fournette and his 240 pound build missed half the year this past year because of injuries.

If the Big Ten's defense is the same as it was this most recent year I actually agree with this
So, 9 top 50 defenses. Might actually be difficult to get to Shonn Greene's number. But, I'm sure in your world you think he sucks too because he didn't play in the Big 12 and played in the Big Ten.
