I agree, but every time I think the Cards are going to be down, some guy comes out of nowhere and wins 20 games, and no named hitter will hit .330 with 35 homers. But if I had to predict, I would actually say they will win under 80 this year. The division is just brutal.
Again, more excuses, that's all Iowa State fans do. Excuse, excuse, excuse.

The first 3 are said by Iowa State fans solely because Iowa fans started saying that was the reason why Iowa State had beaten them in football in the recent past.
Well there ya go, looks like they both treat it as a "Super Bowl" then. I mean why wouldn't you want to beat your rival, or try harder than your rival? If you don't want to do those things, then you have no business being in the game in the first place.
Also, don't act like there are no Iowa State fans who care about that game and treat it is as their "Super Bowl", cause there are plenty that do that, just like the Iowa fan base has plenty that do it. It goes both ways.
I completely agree the "Super Bowl" thing is a complete joke.
It is, literally, arguing about who cares less.
The first two is how every team in every game should treat the game. Why wouldn't you want your favorite team doing those things? What? Would you rather them not try harder than the other team and not care about the game as much as the other team? It doesn't make sense and is a stupid excuse.
As for the harder conferences and defenses suck thing, conferences go in cycles, sometimes one is better than the other, and sometimes the other one is better. Its cyclical. Defenses, I gave you plenty of stats and facts yesterday on the contrary of what you have said.

I don't think it can ever meet the threshold that was hit when Historic burst onto the scene. I think he had 100+ posts in his first day, all on one board. It was very impressive.
It's been within this past year. During football season, IIRC. Can't tell you exactly when though. I'm sure someone could find the thread haha

I just told you I wish they emphasized as much as your coaches and players do. I totally agree with that. Our coaches and players philosophies are to focus more on conference games and while that sucks when it comes to playing you guys I am not going to hate them for how they handle things
