Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Wadley was a backup RB on a team that didn't finish in the top 25 and played in a defense optional league. Those are the facts. If you want to talk Iowa football do it below otherwise leave this to basketball

A backup running back who had almost as many yards as Iowa State's top two running backs combined, twice as many touchdowns as the two combined, averaged at least 1.2 yds/carry more than each RB on Iowa State, had 2 more 100+ yard games than the 2 Iowa State RBs combined, and had more receptions, rec yds, and rec TDs than the 2 combined. Also, passes the eye test way more than those two Iowa State RBs.

9 Big Ten defenses ranked higher than the highest Big 12 defense.

How is Iowa's backcourt average next year with the guys you listed? Do you even know what other basketball teams have on their roster?

Dude, I've already given you my thoughts on next year's basketball teams. The "worst P5 backcourt in the country" (full of freshman and sophomores, who can improve btw) punked Iowa State's "elite" (full of seniors) backcourt by 15. Iowa will be a bubble team next year, until they get good to great guards, they won't be higher than a 7 seed. I think we have all seen that play out the past 3-4 years.

I don't understand how you think they will be average. I get it you're biased and don't think they will be the worst P5 backcourt in the country but how can you expect them to be average? Do you know what average means?

Reading comprehension would be a good course for you. I explained how those numbers mesh if you can read the rest of my post. If the rest of the bb world was as expected and 2 teams didn't have the outlier of the year, we would be right about those numbers. wins and losses fluctuate much more that quality. We knew we had a bubble team, and hoped to be on the inside by the end. That's exactly where I would put ISU right now. The other teams changed. My expectations and successful predictions didn't. I didn't predict wins, I knew this team was a bubble team and the schedule quality proved different ISU proved to be exactly what this poll would suggest. Based on what we expected from the schedule we expected 22 wins to get to the north side of the bubble. Turns out the schedule warrants 18 wins gets in.

A bubble team with some upside optimism. IF the Big XII was more on par with the BIG 10 like it was expected to be, then we could be looking at 22, 23 wins. Its equivalent quality. -- Hopefully, GOOD SIDE OF THE BUBBLE.

22 regular season wins for a P5 team is not a bubble team in any year.

I dont care how close some of the games were and you lost to teams you were better than (Monte).

Didn't Monte only say that about one team and he was correct? Not sure the big deal about it

You are the most biased person here, along with 1976. Worst P5 backcourt, come on? Average means they are okay, which is what they are. They aren't good, they are okay, serviceable.

No but 21 often is and 22 is one above the bubble.

That is exactly where Most are still thinking ISU is going to end up. Still may be wrong, but it looks pretty close to me.

How are they going to be OK next year with Ellingson, Moss and Bohannon? That isn't even an average offensive backcourt and their defense is worse.

Wadley was/is a fantastic change of pace running back for Daniels, but I'm not sure that 5'10 180 passes any eye test or can handle being an every down back.

Iowa's backcourt next year will be substantially worse than teams like Missouri and Oregon State who have trouble winning any games at all. You dont even really need guards to be a bubble team next year......CyTwins and 1976 logic.
