I saw Iowa as a 7 seed in the NIT bracketology. That kinda stinks they would have to play on the road though since Iowa can't win on the road.5-5 in SEC/Big 12 Challenge without one of the best SEC teams even participating.

Yeah, I know what a "loss" consists of jackass.Well they wouldn't be better since you know... they lost.
Just in case you weren't aware a team is administered what is called a "loss" when the team they are playing scores more points then they do. So in this example when Boise State scored 31 "points" through 3 quarters and like 5 seconds they had already accumulated more points then Wazzu's "28" for the entire game.
At least say Iowa if you're going with that slam since Vanderbilt is much better than your team
I don't know, that is a good question.
Iowa State loses 6 seniors, including 4 that are pretty damn good and productive. So, that is a lot to replace. From what I've seen the inside presence is non-existent and kills Iowa State and I don't see that improving much next year with what they have and who they're bringing in. I think Wigginton is a stud and going to be a stud next year, don't know much about the other two though. I think Iowa State will definitely be down next year. I think they are more athletic than Iowa and quicker.
As for Iowa, they return a lot, pretty much everyone outside of Jok. But, it is a lot of average to decent players. No real stars or take over type players. They'll be much bigger inside than Iowa State next year, so that could be the difference in a head-to-head matchup, but playing in Hilton could make up for some or most of that. It'll probably be a coin flip game next year, hell it has been the last 5-6 years outside of one year.
Both teams will probably be on the Tourney bubble next year. Iowa might be a bit better overall just because of how much they return and how little experience Iowa State has coming back. I mean, look at Michigan State this year, they lost a ton, had some very highly ranked freshman come in and a top 5 recruiting class and play in a down Big Ten and are pretty much on the bubble this year. So, it could be a bit of a struggle for Iowa State next year.
Just one man's opinion.
You don't think Lewis will be that good? He's not rated too far behind Cook who was projected as a one and done by Hawkeye fans
I think Iowa recruits fine, they recruit the same every year. Every year they are about 8-4 on average. Can't recruit, desperate offensive coaching hires that won't work, and the game is quickly passing by the head coach. They are going to be really bad next year. But we can talk about it in the Iowa football thread. This is for your hopeless basketball team.
When did I ever say he won't be that good? I said I don't know much about him. I see where he is ranked, but rankings aren't the end all, be all. His National Composite is 119 though, but again its just high school rankings. You don't think Lewis will be that good? He's not rated too far behind Cook who was projected as a one and done by Hawkeye fans
I have seen this used ad nauseum by posters over here and I've yet to see any Hawkeye fan project Cook as a one and done player. Where are you guys seeing this?
Yeah, I know what a "loss" consists of jackass.
Chad wrote an article in the Register about it and I know there was threads from HR and HN linked over here about it too.
Anyone who is rational and knows or watches basketball, should know he is not one-and-done. To even think that is stupid. There are maybe like 7-10 guys on average a year who should be one-and-done and I think that is even high, might be more like 5.Chad wrote an article in the Register about it and I know there was threads from HR and HN linked over here about it too.
So one guy writes an article and now it is Hawkeye fans saying he will be one and done. I spend a fair amount of time on Hawkeye boards and have a ton of friends, and have hardly ever heard this. Guess that is par for the course on the internet though.

Every fan base in America has writers and fans who think stupid **** about "their" teams. I'm not gonna "Talk to Chad" about it, I don't care what Chad thinks or says. I've never read an article by him in my life.Talk to Chad and the other Hawkeye fans that thought it
Googled Tyler Cook one and done and this came up first:
http://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/tyler-cook-impresses-in-ptl-debut-20160630
Consider Cook’s debut a winner. He produced highlight-reel plays and won over the crowd, which offered rousing applause when he left the court. In fact, on Hawkeye Report’s “Hawkeye Lounge” message board had a thread that read “Tyler Cook one and done?”
Ok. That would be like saying Iowa State's poor BCS ranking pinches Iowa State's hope for an Orange Bowl berth despite tough competition. So you agree with this author?
