Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

You realize Warren was really good as a freshman right? Like All American good. Looking back I don't see how that was so dumb. He obviously got complacent like your coach and got in the dog house and lost carries to other talented RB's. I don't even think Wadley is that good to be honest, if he was he would have went pro because he wanted to. He played behind a pretty good offensive line in a very weak defensive conference. He wasn't even your starting RB and it's not like your starting RB is going to get drafted.

To get this back on track, do you think ISU's backcourt will be better than Iowa's next year?

Wadley had more yards and averaged more yards per carry than Daniels. Its a good problem to have 2 really good RB's running behind and award winning o-line.

I think the edge would go to ISU but it is a slight edge.

It's a good problem to have to play in a weak defensive conference.

So if ISU's guards are going to be better next year how is Iowa going to be that good when college basketball is all about guard play?

Iowa's guards will be serviceable, not expecting them to be great.

I expect Iowa to be back on the bubble for the NCAA's next year and think the game in Hilton next year will be a toss up.

Iowa's guards will be bad next year unless they add someone or someone drastically improves. Your guards are really bad this year outside of Jok.

NIT bubble this year and maybe not the NCAA Tourney next year? Luckily as long as Fran makes the NIT his seat will never get hot

The same players who are nowhere near the bubble this year are going to make it next year? The Big 10 won't be as bad as they are this year, Iowa will be lucky to have a similar record next year.

At least you'll have expectations for them next year, not sure I understand why, but none the less it's more fun when you guys give yourself false hope.

Yeah this season kind of sucks because they're terrible but their fans aren't freaking out about it. One of the worst teams in a bad conference Hawk fans think this is fun to watch

I think fantasy world describes your thoughts very well. Well said

Lol, dude not to derail this because I agree with all your basketball posts against this YeahBuddy guy, but you cant really rip the Big Ten for sucking at defense when we play in the Big 12. Nobody can make that claim and keep a straight face. K-State and Oklahoma are the only schools in the conference that even believe in playing defense.

Jeresib swoops in again to save the Big Ten! Lol.

Let me ask you an honest question. Do you really think you will be a bubble team next year? Do you honestly think you will be any more than a middle of the Big 10 team under Fran?

Iowa will be on the bubble of the NCAA's next year.

By your argument, ISU is on the bubble this year and loses pretty much everybody. Where will they be next season?

Why? Are their new guys good? I don't see anyone really improving much outside of Cook, you lose Jok and the Big Ten should be much better. The Big Ten is terrible this year and you still can't sniff the bubble. Must have a lot of faith in Woody 2.0

Breaking in a Top 25 recruiting class. Sucks, but gotta reload at some point. Did you see Wigginton vs. Ball Academy?

The Big 10 had 7 schools that gave up fewer points in conference in the same 9 game schedule than the best in the entire Big 12 which was West Virginia. I dont think a small sample size of 6 or 7 bowl games in enough to make up for an entire 9 game schedule. In other words, West Virginia would have given up the 8th most amount of points in the Big 10.

Im waiting for the obligatory, "Well thats because the Big 10 sucks at offense" post now.

Iowa also has an easy Big 10 schedule this year and the Big 10 is in a down year. Next year their schedule could be more difficult so even if they are the same or better than this year their record might not reflect. I see them being about the same. I think it is funny that Fran recruited two post players when what they need are guards. They already have Wagner, Cook, Pemsl, Kriener and Uhl who get playing time and now he saying that Nunge and Garza will play next year as well. So apparently they are going to go play 7 guys at the 4 and 5 spot next year.
Moss might be the worst starter in the Big 10 not playing for Rutgers.

ISU is not on the bubble, we are firmly in. We will get a bare minimum of 9 conference wins and probably 10 or 11. But it's sweet you are worried about us. Iowa on the other hand is not even close, and won't be next year either. The program is a dumpster fire.

Well that's because the Big Ten sucks at offense
