Yikes. FCS and a MAC coach? I thought they'd go after some big dogs to be honest with you but I guess they just did promote lil Ferentz to OC and brought back KOK
You thought what? That they would get current assistants to take a lateral move to another P5 school? That is not realistic.
All 3 of these hires, if the info is accurate, are home runs.
Kansas just brought over the offensive coordinator from TCU where he was the offensive coordinator. Kansas. You're telling me there isn't worse P5 programs out there that Iowa could poach from? Also how are these 3 hires home runs?
KOK- 13 years as a P5 OC and 5 years as an assistant in the NFL coming in as an assistant.
Polasek- Dynamite recruiter in the midwest, OC at the best FCS program in the country and coming from a program that plays the same style as Iowa
Copeland- Native of Miami, FL. Iowa tends to recruit FL and used to recruit a lot more and of course we all know there is gobs of talent in FL. Doesnt hurt that he is African-American.

Copeland is probably the best hire of the bunch just because the other two are so bad but still kind of a head scratcher.

You wouldnt be doing cart wheels if CMC hired someone with 14 years of experience as an OC at a P5 school and 5 additional years of experience as an assistant in the NFL to coach QB's at ISU? Dont kid us.
The Iowa staff just got much younger with these hires. KF is setting up Brian for long term success.
I would never want Campbell to go after KOK. I'm not kidding, that is a really bad hire. Google "Fire Ken O'Keefe" and see what comes up. Fans wanted him gone so bad and now they're happy they got him back? Don't kid yourself

Some did, absolutely. I dont think the fanbase as a whole should be judged by the actions of a few. And it was a small percentage of the Iowa fanbase that wanted him gone.
