I'm not having this discussion. You and Twins already went back and forth on it and I'm not taking the bait so that I can provide a platform for you to spew more idiotic BS. I have more important things to do and now you do as well. I'll have a #7 and hold the onions please.

I'm Interested in the next 5 years. I'm guessing 4-1 in the Cyclone's favor. You may get one because it's your superbowl, but we will start dominating the series.

Yeah well even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile. When it's your superbowl, you are bound to get lucky once in 5 years.

If you want to talk about history - I notice all you guys gloss over the fact that Iowa refused to play the game for years. Coincidently, those years encompassed the time frame when Iowa was setting the D1 record - I believe it still stands - for the most consecutive non-winning seasons. In history. Inconvenient truth I know, but truth nonetheless.

So you want me to factor in games that were never played? Ooooookay.

And as we have seen the last 19 years, the worse program can make the series competitive so it's not a guarantee that Iowa would have lost a huge majority of those games.

I clearly alluded to how the historical series record is distorted by not playing in those years. And I'll make a further allusion - those years also coincided with the majority of the Majors/Bruce eras.

But that wasn't my larger point. You have said repeatedly that historically ISU sucks - and we do. But you also use it to try to affirm yourself that it won't change. I looked it up. In 1961 Iowa went 5-4. Over the next 19 YEARS you had two 5-5 seasons, the rest were losing records. Actually worse than what I recalled. A still standing D1 record. You must be proud.

Then came Hayden Fry.

And that's what I think you're afraid of. That maybe we found our Fry and it scares the living **** out of you.

Furthermore, the series was not played from 1935 until 1976. ISU had 10 winning seasons during that time frame and never even won a bowl game until this century.

Iowa had 12 winning seasons during the same time frame and won 2 Rose Bowls.

So to act like the Iowa program was light years behind ISU's is wrong.

There was also a 12 year break from 1921 until 1932. When the series stopped, Iowa had won the last 5. Iowa went 53-37-4 during the 12 seasons the series was not played.

ISU's record during that same time was 38-56-7.

Thanks for the history lesson but ISU fans should feel fortunate the all time gap is not larger in favor of Iowa.
