Iowa Football Recruiting

So just to be clear it's only the first or second games of the year that matter? As in it doesn't matter if a team improves?
Of course a team will improve when they play lesser teams as the season progresses.

Singed, Iowa State fans when Iowa fan mentions improving throughout the season, circa 2005-2013.

Except every time ISU had played Iowa at the end of the year they won

I'll have to check the math on this one, but pretty sure 2001 doesn't fall in the 05-10 time frame. So I'll get back to you. In the meantime, we both know how much that game meant to Dan, his team, and the fans. Can't expect Iowa to overcome that intensity with any sort of regularity. At least we didn't put all the eggs in that basket, and managed to win our bowl game.

Back when Ferentz used to be able to win bowl games. Ah the good ole days

Can't argue this, although he did have a pretty good resurrection in 2008-2010. Hopefully they don't pull of another spectacular win this year like last years Michigan game to bump them up to a game they don't want any part of. Just shooting themselves in the foot. Would be nice to get off the schneid against some lowly 6-6 team.

Oh I don't think you will have to worry about that this year. Or playing in a bowl this year for that matter. Don't worry, you can still turn on the tv to watch us playing in a bowl game. You might as well just jump on the bandwagon now. You attended our fine institution, you might as well just jump off the Titanic and jump on to the program that's about to take off like a rocket.

Nah... I'm good. My wife will hopefully get to enjoy it though.

Love the optimism.

It does?

Number of meetings: 64

Iowa wins: 42

ISU wins: 22

LOL. I see you're one of the typical tavern hawks that still holds on to the 15 straight run Iowa had. You and I both know where the series sits since 98... Nice try though.

Why date it back to 1998? A 19 year time frame seems like a weird range to use.

And over the last 10 Iowa leads 6-4. I'm not sure where you are going with this? You act like the game is a layup for Iowa and you know it's not.

He asked what it was at since the 2002 game, I simply provided a response. I am not going anywhere with it.
