Interestingly enough, if you dive further into the 24-7 stats since 2010, Iowa State and Iowa have split the 8 years 50-50 with State having a higher average 4 times and Iowa having the higher average the other 4. Iowa State's average of .8409 this year was the 2nd highest during the same period, just slightly lower than last year's Iowa .8414. Iowa was better at bringing in top talent. It also shows that Iowa was better at developing talent than Iowa State over the years...that looks to change!
Significant improvement in the Big 12 recruiting battles is the bigger story...we've gone from near/at the bottom to #7 the past couple of years...and the gap between #3 and #7 is almost gone. Of course, one can find a negative here as the conference has dropped in overall talent.
Looking forward to the season and seeing what the staff can do! Assuming this staff is better at development, additional wins in the Big 12 will be coming.
