Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

the tournament isn't today and they've got a whole lot of season left. Again, I'll admit I was wrong if they make it in but I'm confident this will all be forgotten when they miss it again. Don't worry, I won't bump these quotes when they're in the NIT.

You act as if they have the same players they have always had and same coach and players they had last year didn't improve. No one is worried.

I wonder how many freshman Prohm starts next year? Hopefully at least 3 for your sake because your underclassmen suck. With all his recruiting misses I don't imagine you guys have much hope though :)

I'd guess 2. Wigginton and one other. If you haven't looked into Wigginton you should. You guys thought Cook was a good recruit...he's a nobody compared to Lindell

I don't really see where they are going to get the bad losses to knock them down. Already beat OU at home and Texas on road. I'm sure they beat Texas at home. That leaves OU on road and that likely won't be a killing loss come March. Also, I think they have a good chance of beating Baylor at home or WVU. Already almost beat WVU on road and KU at home. But don't worry, I won't bump this thread when they are in the NCAA tourney in march .

I've been wrong before and will be again. It doesn't hurt my feelings any.

You think they get in the tournament at 8-10 in the Big 12?

Hard to say. If 2 of those 8 are Baylor and WVU, take care of Auburn at home, and win first round Big 12 tourney? I think they probably get in.

Honestly, that's not a stretch at all. The mid major bubble is really weak this year and the committee is going to put a lot of weight into RPI, which will favor P5 teams.

Which underclassmen are you talking about exactly? Simeon Carter? Every ISU fan on CF has said as much. But Idk where you are getting the assumption that all of our freshman that Prohm recruited suck, because you haven't seen any of them other than Solomon Young. It helps when you have 4 seniors and 2 juniors in the backcourt so you don't have to throw your highest rated recruit to the wolves week one of his freshman year. But, You know more than I about how much Iowa State basketball players suck.

See this is just post is uninformed and lashing out irresponsibly.

Weller-Babb and Jackson and will be starters. Kasongo RS-Jr likely will be a starter. At this point Young has shown flashes and may start. Lard and Long are highly regarded but due to circumstance aren't playing now but expect will be in the rotation. There will likely be a JC or Grad Transfer added in the spring either starting or playing in the rotation (resource Mad Fran prefers not to use). Wigginton could very well and likely will be the only freshman starter. (Lewis will get some minutes of the bench.)

To answer your pondering with ISU losing 5 senior starters but only 1 Frosh will be expected to contribute right away. ;)

Anyone debating TCU's quality simply has not seen them play, they are a shoe in on paper IMO and watching them IDK how they don't pass anyone's eye test. Great PG play, good bigs, great coach, good defense, size, athleticism and they play hard. They have tourney written all over them.

Kasongo won't be a starter.

To be fair our underclassmen probably do suck otherwise Prohm would be playing the 14 man Mad Fran rotation. If only we could have that kind of depth...

Too bad we couldn't have gotten Jaylen Fisher, he played great. To think Wigginton is 22 spots higher rated than Fisher was.

And no I didn't watch the game, was watching football instead. Pathetic losses happen, kind of like when we weren't even competitive against a horrible Iowa team.

So you're not taking last night into your eye test metric? Do you think Iowa is better than Oklahoma and Texas?
