What the heck is up with this? What is the PGA thinking? I can't see this as another publicity stunt. I can't see it boosting any rankings. She stinks. She can't win on the LPGA, she shouldn't be playing in any PGA events.

Amen...why the heck would the PGA want somebody playing on their tour when she can't even win on her own?!?

Wie playing this Reno-Tahoe event will probably double the gallery - it's one of the minor events on the PGA Tour, so the tournament committee is doing back-flips that she wants to play it.
Uh, Wie doesn't exactly stink. Lots and lots of men wish that they had her game. Don't forget that she was just one shot off the lead last weekend after three rounds, and could have won prior to the DQ.
She's good for interest in golf, expecially with Tiger out.

She needs to learn how to get her score cards in on the LPGA before she even thinks about embarrassing herself in another PGA event.

1 - She's going to get people talking when Tiger is out and hence everybody is losing interest.

2 - She shouldn't get to play for the simple fact that she can't prove to win on her own league.

3 - She's getting the same preferential treatment that Danica Patrick gets. Danica can't seem to win but yet she's still a media darling and draws big crowds regardless of her final standing.

Just a stunt by the PGA to get fans since Tiger is done for the year. They got lucky with the Brittish Open and Norman leading going into the final round.

I think the PGA should invite adam sandler to play as Happy Gilmore for the remainder of the season. I'd definately watch then. I will not tune in to see Michelle Wie to not make another cut though.

I understand she's a great, young talent and can generate a lot of buzz in a Tiger-less season, but I really think she should experience success on the LPGA first. Look at Sorenstam, she dominated the tour and created even more buzz than Wie...not too mention her recent inability to sign her own score card.

My opinion is let her play. She has to make the cut like all the other players.

Yeah she has to make the cut just like everyone else, but she hasn't made a cut on the PGA tour yet. I know you can't make the cut if you don't play but ..... I am sure there are some guys that would have liked to have taken her spot.

Ok, she might not stink, she wouldn't be on tour if she did and she can beat some of the guys but she doesn't deserve to play with the guys. If she could do on the LPGA tour half of what Tiger goes on the PGA tour then I wouldn't mind but until she starts winning on a more consistant basis I don't think she deserves to play in a PGA event.

That scorecard thing is fishy to me. You mean one of those old codgers in the tent can't say to her as she gets up to leave, "are you sure your scorecard is complete?"
Then, to top it all off, they let her play another complete round before DQ'ing her? Give me a break.

Not to be sexist but they have womens leagues in every sport for a reason. (the wnba, lpga etc.) for women to compete against women. its not that we dont think they can compete with the men, but why does everyone feel that a women who does mediocre against men deserves a bunch of praise, and every right to play against the men. a womens league does not serve to keep women down or make them feel second rate, its just a place where women can compete against similar competition. just because tiger is really good, dosnt mean he should go to the an lpga event just because they feel they need a ratings boost. just my opinion.

Well, Danica actually has 1 win this year (and a ton of whining incidents).
