Bizarre networking issue

Work in a small office with only two people. This week our wi-fi stopped working for TABLETS ONLY. Phones? No problem. Laptops? No problem. Samsung Tab? Nope. Kindle Fire? Nope. iPad? Nope.

What in the world could possibly happen to a wi-fi network that would ONLY make it impossible to connect to tablets?

I'm not sure but I know it's possible. I'm in a building where gaming consoles can't connect at all but tablets and computers have no problem.

I did but only AFTER the problem surface. I was hoping updating the firmware would fix it.

What OS do the tablets run, and how recently did it update last?

Could be bad drivers/software updates on the units that just need to be rolled back for the time being.

Tried resetting the router to back to default/factory settings? What is the model of the router?

Another thought... is this a mixed 2.4\5ghz network? My router recently started having issues with its 2.4ghz connections, but anything connected through 5ghz works fine.

Have you restarted your computer? Try that, it fixes 0.01% of all issues.

Is the internal DHCP pool allocating enough IP's?

some solid suggestions with the 2.4ghz and DHCP, i would check those. Also are all the tablets the same flavor of android or ios?
