***Official 2017 ISU Football Recruiting Thread***

How many kids will we sign this year it looks like we would need to drop 6 kids off the team plus one for any additional recruits we get. That seems like a lot of people leaving the team since they look to want 6 more or so.

6 doesn't seem like a lot out of 85 just due to injuries, academics, and kids wanting to play.

Basketball players transfer at that rate for sure, not sure on how much attrition football averages. We've had a player transfer at least once a year every year for awhile, which 1/13 = 6/78 so about the same rate if the sports are similar.

I would guess the coaches have a pretty good idea of the who is going to move on the a lower level for playing time. Without looking at the roster, it is hard to tell, but there are probably 10-12 guys that have never played a snap and are buried on the depth chart behind younger guys.

The thought is they are still going hard after 6-8 guys at least. That means we will need to drop 12-14 guys off the team which is pretty much another entire class
 
Reid, Hafiz, munford, Chandler, grad transfer lineman, kj hamler, onyemaobi, Tucker Robertson, Jay Jay, and a JC lineman. Im missing some of the names but is that about the list of guys they are still going after?

I don't think that is correct. On The Trail podcast from today and Jared said that about 6 guys need to leave the team for this class.

That's only for the guys currently committed. We will need to drop one current player for every new commit from here on out.
