People compare players all the time. People compare our recruits and freshman to very good players all the time. It doesn't mean people are exactly equating their talent and skill level exactly and to assume they are is a logical fallacy.

Monte didn't struggle mightily in his first game.

He struggled a bit against BYU because Kane fouled out. We still won.

Yeah, right. Seton Hall won the Big East last year and has 4 starters back plus a 5th year transfer guard. Your basketball knowledge is impressive

Yeah after thinking about it more, they'll be an NIT team. Still can't spin it as anything other than a bad loss for Iowa though. Of couse, that's if their aspirations are the NCAA Tournament.

And they didn't win the Big East. They won the conference tournament. They finished 3rd. And that was with Isiah Whitehead. There are 4 Big East teams better than them right now that I've seen.

I can't wait until they play Virginia a week from today. They are going to eat Iowa alive.
 
From what I saw, Iowa will do better against the Purdue's of the world than smaller guard orientated teams. You could drain spaghetti with their defense. If they plug that up a bit they won't be that bad. On offense, shut down Jok and they have problems. Need another go to guy.
 
I wish someone could quantify Jok's net impact on a game. The guy can score, but my goodness is he disinterested in guarding.
