I feel pretty strong that one way or another we're only going to have to go one season without a Woodbury-like presence.
Waterloo Dale is playing tonight, watch out Setan Hall, he can score 30 on you.
19.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.8 assists is exactly what Waterloo Dale gives you in his average game.
At least it was when Iowa played Michigan State last year if he hadn't been hurt.
Should be the first game we can see Fran's rotation. I'm really hoping it's at least 11 guys
Not even Fran's savior son and Franning two players can give Iowa a better class than ISU.

Tell us again how the Big 10 schedule is a gauntlet, year in and year out Dakich.
Dan Dakich is as big a tool as there is. Always hated how he always felt he knew so much, and could do as good/if not better than any coach at any time. Didn't help his cause, with me, when he called out Iowa State last year after the Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament. When he said "I'm sick of hearing about Iowa State, and how good they are, and then they get bounced in the first round every year." When we had been to the Sweet 16 2 years prior and lost to Kentucky (in maybe their most competitive game of that tourney) in the second round on their way to a Championship, in the previous 3 season. Dakich is a douche.
The only thing I have every agreed with Fran McCafferey on, is him calling out Dakich saying "If he was a coach, he'd be coaching." It's easy for the dude to run his mouth, even though his track record as a coach is awful.
Here's a snippet about "Coach Dan": During Dakich's tenure, BGSU went 0-0 in the NCAA tournament. At the end of the 2008 season he served as the interim head coach at Indiana University, following Kelvin Sampson's resignation due to NCAA recruiting violations. Under Dakich's guidance, the Hoosiers went 0-2 in postseason play, losing in the first rounds of the Big 10 and NCAA tournaments. After the season, IU declined to offer Dakich the job on a permanent basis, opting instead for Tom Crean.
I find it funny that he criticizes a team that has had quite a bit of success in the NCAA, but teams he coached did diddly-squat!

To add to that, I'm pretty sure the team that he inherited was 22-4 and second in the Big when he took over. Finished the season 25-8 and 3rd in the B1G. Going 0-2 in post season play, as stated. Guy really knows how to get his guys up for a game!
Pretty sure Fran told Jok if he didn't go to Europe he does not have to play defense this year.
Hawks will be able to score this year. Cook and Jok were impressive but their D Is turrible. Seton Hall has probably missed 10 shots within 5-7 feet of the basket
Gonna like this team a lot. Cook's a beast. Jok one of the best scorers in the country. Williams a matchup nightmare at the point. Pemsl going to be a load down low. JorBo playing like a 5th year senior. Love it.
