Iowa Football Recruiting

isu has an easier schedule this year with fewer wins.

The storm that never was.

Speaking of the storm that never was.

You're gonna have to play and beat someone good eventually to be considered a perennial Top 25 program like Halk fans think Iowa is. Looks to me like nothing's changed at all from the 'FIRE KIRK NOW' years. Amazing what an easy schedule will do though.

2016
Miami Ohio - (W) 4-6
Iowa State - (W) 1-8
ND St - (L) 8-1
@ Rutgers - (W) 2-7
Northwestern - (L) 4-5
@ Minnesota - (W) 7-2
@ Purdue - (W) 3-6
Wisconsin - (L) 7-2
@ Penn State - (Lol) 7-2

Record of teams Iowa has beaten: 17-29, zero ranked in top 20
Record of teams Iowa has lost to: 26-10

2015
Illinois State - (W) 10-3
Iowa State - (W) 3-9
@ Pitt - (W) 8-5
North Texas - (W) 1-11
@ Wisconsin - (W) 10-3 (95th in SOS)
Illinois - (W) 5-7
@ Northwestern - (W) 10-3 (52nd in SOS)
Maryland - (W) 3-9
@ Indiana - (W) 6-7
Minnesota - (W) 6-7
Purdue - (W) 2-10
@ Nebraska - (W) 6-7
Michigan State - (L) 12-2
Stanford - (Lol) 12-2

Record of teams Iowa beat: 70-81, zero ranked in top 20 to end the year

17 wins vs 4. Only at isu is 4 wins considered a brewing storm.

Why you will just say it doesn't count. You should go back to cherry picking so you can sleep better tonight.

The storm that never was.

Figured you wouldn't have one. I mean you just said Iowa had a tougher schedule that ISU this year when that was already proven to be wrong

No where did I say Iowa had a tougher schedule. I said isu has had an easier schedule with fewer wins. When you look at isu this year and last that statement is a cold hard fact.

ISU was obviously more talented last year than they are this year. Have you seen our OL we have?

3 win teams are talented? Ok if you say so.

Yep isu is pathetic on both lines this year. It is just awesome that isu will be starting over again next year on both the OL and DL.

I would assume they'd be pretty awesome with the storm brewing right now.

1 win is a storm brewing? Even the one win came when the other team didn't have their starting QB.

2017 will be just like the last 4 yeas. By the time mid August rolls around, cy fans will be convinced that isu will be a bowl team only to have Lucy pull the ball away from them once again.

Winning 2 or 3 games with this roster is nothing short of a miracle. I don't even know if Saban could win 3 games with this OL. If Lazard comes back next year though...oh boy watch out

Are you guys even going to a bowl game this year? I mean, that's not even a sure thing at this point, right?

No different than any team that has 5 wins right now. If isu had 5 wins right now cy twins would already have a statue put up of your newest savior.

Well it's true so of course I believe it. Storms will still be brewing even if Lazard goes pro after this year but if he returns they might have to hire extra meteorologists in central Iowa

Sure Clark sure.

Is Lazard jumping from Ames to the CFL? I can't find any mock drafts where the NFL wants him. That tends to happen to WR's that can't outrun an Iowa LB.

Didn't know Ubben did mock drafts. Can you link it for us?

I don't know any 2018 nfl mock drafts out there. I think he is coming back but if he keeps impressing like he has I wouldn't be surprised if he left. With his size, route running and ability to create separation he'll have a long career in the NFL
