I know there's a few hunters on here . Sitting in my tree stand this morning and doing some thinking on out of state hunts . Me and another 2 guys are in good shape and hunt frequently here but would like to try an antelope or mule deer preferably DIY if we could . Not against an outfitter but I don't really want to pay 2grand for a antelope that most people say are everywhere in Wyoming and we're not all exactly rolling in money . Any locations to go , pref point advice , lodges would be helpful . Thinking Cheyenne WY for Antelope but not set . Lots of public land and easy to draw would be ideal . Also would like to try elk someday when I got some more coin so a recommendation on a guide for that would be helpful as well .

Thanks

Had friends who would go out to Co. elk hunting, no guide had success about 1/2 the time. 1 yr. they got blizzarded out Forest Service got them out had to get the camper out next spring. Another time hunting was poor so they "sighted' in rifles at a tree stump off the pick up hood shot a hole in the fender of the truck (There may have been alcohol involved in this case.) Sorry I can't be of more help.
