PapelBum

I dunno but they're both wrong and Nathan should close

I thought that Cliff Lee was starting

ESPN - Papelbon says he should close, then defers to Rivera - MLB

So who do you think should start. I will throw out Rivera because he is the best closer of all time, without a doubt, and he may be having the best season of his career.

Plus he never dances around in his underwear soaking wet.
Cliff Lee is the starter. Additionally, I hate the Red Sox, but Papelbon's mentality is the one I want my closer to have, and is the mentality I brought to the mound in HS when I closed. He wants the ball to get the job done. I love it. I do however think he's an idiot, and for that matter Terry Francona would be, if Papelbon gets in a save situation. You turn to one of the most dominating closers in recent history and not the guy who's just got a couple years of experience, especially in that guy's home stadium.

Mariano Rivera should pitch the 9th inning no matter what. He is the best closer in baseball this year, and it's not close.
