Thoughts on Season 1? Fan of Danny McBride, but thought his insecure, dbag character played a lot funnier in Eastbound and Down.

Ending was a complete shocker. Cars on fire was funny, but getting shot was totally unexpected. Curious now to check into Season 2 and see how this is resolved.

Season really grew on me as it went on. After the first 2 episodes, I wasn't sure what I thought. But the story and characters got better as it went. Ending completely shocked me, especially because I didn't know it was the season finale!

Danny McBride said in an interview that he was probably most proud of this show, because of the way his character develops and has more depth to him than Kenny Powers. If that happens next season, I would applaud his effort. But I agree, as of now, his character is still kinda the same as KP.

Overall I enjoyed the season, and will continue watching next season. But it is not the best HBO Comedy out there.

I've got two more episodes to go, love it so far. It's not quite as good as Eastbound and Down but close.

I thought it was okay. Some stuff really cracked me up but a lot of it fell flat too. I'll watch again just because the ending was a complete shock.

Big fan of Goggins and McBride so this was a must watch for me. Didn't care for the first couple of episodes but I thought the show really picked up pace in the last four or five. Overall I liked it and will watch the second season.

Gamby with Snodgrass is too far of a reach for me though.

I guess have to watch more episodes. Watched the first couple, and didn't really think much of them. But since the consensus seems to be that it gets better, I am going to give it a go.

Ballers is fine. It fills the last few seasons of Entourage niche. Not great, not horrible. It would not be worth watching without Rob Cordry, IMO

Agree with those who all ready stated that Vice Principals improved as the season progressed. The ending was a bit of a shock, glad it's got one more season, was disappointed that The Brink only got one season. Enjoyed that one more than Ballers last year.
