Iowa vs. NDSU

I think the funniest thing is the tweet I read (maybe from leistikow) and later said by Jon Miller that bethard is now 1-12 as a starter. It took me a while to understand it. I thought to myself, 'did he not start against Michigan state and Stanford for some reason?' But it was regular season starts! Only Iowa would make that distinction.
Looks like you still don't quite grasp it.

They're just going to further qualify it by saying he's undefeated against FBS opposition during the regular season.

What a bunch of maroons-not King. He's #14

Can you get a facemask penalty via stiff arm? That looks pretty rough.
Q: Why is the player who is carrying the football allowed to put his hands on the facemask, in the facemask, and even grab the facemask of an opposing player?

Rick Fortuna, Leechburg

BOUCHETTE: Technically, they are not. There can be incidental contact to the facemask, a.k.a. a stiff arm, but no one is permitted to grab an opponent's facemask. That's a 15-yard penalty either way. However, refs go easier on running backs, as you no doubt have seen through the years, giving them more leeway in this area. But I did once see Tim Worley called for a facemask penalty on a legit stiff-arm on a long TD run during a preseason game in Barcelona, Spain, against the 49ers. It was a thrilling play on a day in which the NFL was trying to sell its game to the Spanish fans. But the refs would have none of that.

I was being generous when I said 10 yards because I'm trying not to pile it on Hawk fans this week. It's no fun that both our football programs suck right now

I mean I agree I don't want to pile on but I have to hold the Thorpe award winner to a higher standard than the hok fans....I mean, he looked, 1)small, 2) slow, 3) weak compared to an FCS QB. I can see his draft stock dropping already and the hok talking heads I heard were saying that Iowa really does need to move their DB's around because people are starting to think that PP is trying to hide King now. When last week it was "he takes away an entire side of the field".

I love this comment.
Like others on here I was trying to lure LakesBison to the thread. Hoks getting their a$$ handed to them didn't make me unhappy and none of those worshipers at the shrine in Johnson County rated it "funny". Glad you're finally catching up on the board.
