King will be on Lazard wherever he lines up

Only Iowa fans could be less intelligent about the game of football if they think Lazard isn't a great WR.

I completely understand that Iowa is WAY, WAY better than ISU in football this season. CJ is a great QB, I can see that with my own two eyes. Iowa owned the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, I can see that with my own two eyes. I understand the game of football.

But yet knuckle dragging Iowa fans come on here and say he's an average WR just show how much they don't even understand what they are talking about.

That's because Doyle has them stronger and in better condition-go figure

He definitely has them ready to go at the beginning of the year, it's too bad he wears them down as the season goes on but he won his Super Bowl so all is well

Lazard is solid, but way too slow to be a great receiver. Getting run down from behind by a linebacker is generally not a good thing for a wide out.

I agree, he's a good receiver. I'd put him 2nd in line on Iowa's roster, behind Vandeberg.

So a solid but not great WR put up 111 receiving yards against you?

Yup. He's like Melsahn Basabe was to Iowa bball. Stuffs the stats because nobody else on the team is capable of it.

I honestly thought Lazard played pretty poorly yesterday going by his standards. If he was going against anyone else not named Mabin he probably would have limited to 50 yards or less

It's tough to maintain your focus when you're ahead by nearly 40 points. It was very cute to see your head coach leave Lazard in against Iowa's 2nd team defense to try and pad his stats, though. It's just unfortunate that your first team offense still couldn't score a touchdown.

Lazard wasn't in on the last series and only had one catch in the 4th quarter. Cute huh?

50 of his yards were after Iowa put in the backups. So I guess he torched King and Mabin for a mind blowing 61 yards!! Truly jaw dropping stats.

No, he had one catch against a backup and I think it was for like 8 yards

Or you know, you could look at the stat line and see he had one catch with 1:30 left in the 3rd from Park for 37 yards and one catch in the 4th from park for 13 yards. Iowa had put the backups in once park was put in the game.

Or you could just keep making up stats.

Oh you mean this catch?

[SG], Park, Jacob pass complete to Lazard, Allen for 36 yards to the IOWA41, 1ST DOWN P11 ISU, out-of-bounds (Mabin, Greg).

No ISU player torched any Iowa player. The game was 42-3 and it was that way at the end of the 3rd. It could have been even worse.

Lazard put up 98 yards through 3 quarters on Mabin. I would say he torched him but I'm sure you will disagree.

Lazard's speed is fine. Far from elite, but with his overall ability he doesn't need to be all that fast. The dropped balls here or there are much more frustrating to me than his speed has ever been.

Mabin didn't line up on Lazard every play, nor did King. 3 points is all ISU scored so the gameplan worked.
Give it a rest. Iowa is good. ISU is not.
