Help: ESPNU - xfinity...

Could I get some help setting up my buddy with access to ESPNU? I'm out visiting him in California and even though he's a Hawkeye, I'd like to help him out. So I went to xfinity and they don't list ESPNU as a channel that's offered, then I googled "xfinity ESPNU channel" and it looks like it's only streaming? What's the difference between ESPNU, WatchESPN, and ESPN3? I appreciate the help.

Also, I set his desktop wallpaper to the Jack Trice Stadium with the awesome lightning strike. Any other ideas for messing with him?
 
Definitely not an expert but ESPNU is an actual Cable/Sat channel. ESPN3 is streaming.

We have the basic Xfinity in FL - Xfinity does not offer ESPNU or ESPNNews in their basic programming. I think you have to add another sports package that includes them, and possibly the NFL channel.

I get ESPNU via Comcast. Nwestern is on right now. Had to up a level when ESPN U and ESPN News started carrying more ISU games for basketball. ESPN3 is streamed only.
 
If all else fails, stream2watch.me is a pretty good streaming site. I watch most cubs games on there when they aren't available to watch on tv.
