If we get one of the two true point guards I'll be ecstatic. If we get one of the combo guards I'll still be happy but a little nervous. I know Prohm will have a year to develop the cg into a pg and it should work. If it doesn't completely work, I don't see a forward like Niang or Royce White that we can run the offense through in a pinch (maybe Feazell or Lewis can learn this). Overall, this is a darn, good start.
That was my thinking as well. Excited we got these two guys but my expectation is that we would get one of these big-time point guards given that its coaches strong suit, our history with point guards, and that we have a very obvious need.
I'm assuming lard is not coming so wouldn't surprise me if we got a point guard and another guard at the high school level and two junior college guys. But who knows
If he doesn't land Wiggington or Sexton, I think we go juco or grad transfer for PG. A good transfer PG with NBA aspirations would be hard pressed to find a better situation than a successful program, in the best league in the country lead by a coach who (by then) will have sent 3 PG's to the NBA. My preference would be to get one of the PG's, one SG and then add juco or grad guys next spring. I am leery of more than 4 HS kids, mainly because I would like to see the classes a bit more balanced but also, its tough to see there being enough playing time to keep 5 or 6 kids here the next 4 years.
No more information, just said that. I assume that means he will be releasing his list soon. If I had to guess, I would think this isn't good for Iowa St's chances since we just landed KeyShawn yesterday. I guess we will see though.

We can't forget about Jackson. If we go juco or transfer, I'd like to have a 3 year guy, because Donovan will be our guy next year.
Yep, that's why a HS PG would be ideal. Could also do a JC. Probably not a grad transfer unless he is also a SG.
If they keep getting their targets, I'm all for them signing 4-5 HS guys! Balancing classes is nice, but if you're getting HS players you really want, I won't complain.
Hoping he's our guy but that's putting the program on him without seeing him play, whether it's HS or JUCO we need a 2nd option. Perennial top 25 team and 3 NBA PG's and #16 '17 class and playing time available will help. Only thing we are missing is blue blood status.
My bad, I can see it on my end? It is Aamir Simms saying that he has a final 5. He announced his final 6 with us in it not that long ago
I don't think Feazell counts ISU out for Sims but who knows. They lose most of their bigs so there is plenty of playing time. Especially since it looks like Lard is a no-show
Cutting down to 5 isn't that odd to me just considering that's how many officials they get to take. Having a top 6 doesn't make a lot of sense unless he's planning on taking an unofficial to a closer school.
Have to say though.....I've been following basketball for over thirty years, and I've only seen one Georges Niang.
