Madison Wise

Great prospect. She is built like a power forward can defend, shoot, and has been on radar since 2012. We made the cut to her final eight and what we have to offer may be competitive and very appealing. In her list of schools (starting off with an Iowa State visit the weekend of Aug. 20-21), Wise is also considering Arkansas, Ball State, DePaul, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State and Pittsburgh in her final eight. She has offers from seven of the eight. Michigan State has not offered and Nebraska was pushing.
 
Recruiting sites I've come upon give Arkansas a chance of landing Wise. Seems there is some connection. Last time we were close to a recruit and lost her to Arkansas was Calli Berna back in 2010. Berna was from Arkansas and she turned out to be very good guard.

I am pretty sure she was ranked in the top 100 for 2017 and a 4 star in the middle of her junior year because I looked her up after my daughter's team played her high school team. Not sure why she would have dropped in the ratings unless her AAU team under performed. Wise is a great player and would fit the Iowa State program well.
 
It seems that the 2017 list has changed a lot from winter to now. Not sure why, but I know that Madison Wise was on that list as of this winter and I am pretty sure she was a 4 star.

Regardless, I have seen here play several times and she would be a great player at Iowa State.
