The difference is Iowa won 12 games last year, not 3.Nothing like non-committable offers

We played the schedule the big ten gave us plus a few others. Not our faults we have to play Iowa state every year.Except Iowa didn't play a real schedule and usually good prospects want to play against top competition. That's why it's not a big deal to me if Iowa ever gets a player we offered because if they'd rather play against weak competition they're probably not cut out for the storm that is brewing here anyways
Actually it is, Iowa has a choice on that game.We played the schedule the big ten gave us plus a few others. Not our faults we have to play Iowa state every year.

I never said it was your fault but it is the recruits fault if they choose to shy away from top competition
Zero first team pre season all-americans from the Big 12, 8 from the B1G from several programs. They know where the talent is.
How many first team pre season all americans will Iowa face this year? I'm sure it's more than Iowa State because the Big 12 is loaded top to bottom not just at the top.
Three first teamers, which is three more than ISU. Big 12 only has 1 second teamer, Mayfield. We'll play against 2 second teamers from different programs. What I'd give to play against such little all american talent. Good for you guys, setting up to be a nice season.
Guess it depends on who you look at. You must have heard about Athlon's. Iowa only plays 2 first teamers this year in conference (at least regular season, and for some reason we don't play the scary good Hoosiers). ISU doesn't play any, but you guys do get one thanks to us in non-con.How many first team pre season all americans will Iowa face this year? Yikes, 22 overall selections to 7. I knew there was a talent disparity, but didn't think it was that bad.
We should schedule better non conference opponents
You got a link to these teams? I thought I saw a tweet Oklahoma had three second teamers

The point still remains the same, as a recruit do you want to go to Iowa and play one top 25 team all year in conference play or do you want to go to a real conference like the SEC or the Big 12? If a kid is going to choose playing one top 25 team like Iowa over playing 4 top 25 teams in conference play like Iowa State well then he's probably not cut out for the big boy league like the Big 12
Top recruits want to play against the best talent, obviously. Probably why the B1G has 9 teams in 247 composite's top 30 to the Big 12's 2. Ouch.
This is true. Shame those coaches took last bowl season off though. 3-4 with only 3 Top 25 teams? Even the B1G went .500 with 6 Top 25 teams. At least you guys improved on your 2014-15 bowl campaign of 2-5 though, that was a huge improvement.Makes you wonder just how bad the coaching is in the Big Ten. I mean everyone already knew the Big 12 coaching was significantly better but the Big 12 has that much less talent and still has 40% of their teams in the preseason top 25 and the Big 10 only has 28%.
