Iowa Football Recruiting

These kids have a whole senior year to play. The rankings/offer lists will change for recruits from both schools. Why don't we just wait till signing day until we start ripping kids who committed early and don't have a ton of great offers. Kids can blow up quick in the recruiting game. Hell, these recruiting services rarely have consensus opinions on recruits

No doubt.

That's why you're my guy Gonzo. Sorry about the pickup today but you guys still have a really good class. The real question is do you think ISU will end up with a better class in 2017 than Iowa had from 2012-2016?

Combined? That's a lot of players to compare to.

;)

Thanks. If the stars align and we land Oliver and Darrion, it'll be top-15 easy.

Tough to say, you can look at class rank or avg. rating of the commits. You guys will probably land mid- to low-40s. I'd say ISU's 2017 class definitely better than our 2013 and 2014 classes. 2012 and 2015 would be a tossup. I think our 2016 class wins.

ISU's 2016 class was already better than Iowa's 2015 class and ISU's 2017 class will be better than our 2016 class. ISU will end up better than the 2016 class for 2017 for sure. Iowa's 2015 class was terrible so not sure where you get the tossup thing from

To make it more clear ISU's 2017 class will for sure be better than Iowa's 2013-16. 2012 is really the only one in question

Iowa signed CB Josh Turner. Turner is a 3* out of Florida. Fast and physical, will probably move to safety before its all over.

2* on Rivals. Chose Iowa over Boston College. Lowly ranked 3* on 247. From the tape he looks kind of soft and lacks top end speed

Looks to me like a ball hawking safety who has no problem laying the wood as well. Flashes of Ed Reed for sure, don't want to get crazy but he might be a taller and better version of Bobby "the Hitman" Sanders. Probably should just shut my mouth and go with the Reed example though.

Cmon Gonzo you can even admit Iowa's 2015 class was garbage and you were wrong about that one. Rutgers, Syracuse, San Jose State, Washington State, Wake Forest, Maryland, etc all had better classes than Iowa that year

No wonder Boston College wanted him so bad

The thing is Kirk has never had outstanding classes. It's all about development. It's not how good they are when they get here, it's how good they are when they leave.

Agree with that which is why I'm excited about Campbell. He's a great recruiter and even better at development
