They will probably end up right around the same place in this years recruiting rankings.

Any staff is going to have a tough time winning in a P5 conference if they cant break into the Top 50 in recruiting rankings.

Yeah, technically he still has an offer. He made the decision to leave Iowa and has committed somewhere else. Van Ginkel hasn't committed anywhere. Little different situation. I imagine if CMC didn't want him he wouldn't have an ISU offer.

You said they have to be 'high' to not lower the average, but the average is weak it's the points that had ISU ranked in the 50's last year. For instance, only two players from Iowa's class ranked below ISU's average.
On the other hand, ISU's highest rated recruit ranks below Iowa's average recruit this year. Yikes.

I'm surprised Ferentz still wants him after he decommitted three times. Interesting I had Hawk fans tell me he no longer had an offer

Secondly, the biggest difference between last years class and basically all the ones before it is the number of P5 offers the kids had. As a fan of ISU, that's something that I follow. You wouldn't see that because you're not a fan.

Rivals, which I was using for the ranking of 53, assigns points to each commit as long as the player is rated I believe. The team rankings are based off the points earned by each team. You get bonus points for being higher ranked or in the Top 250 and more points if they are in the Top 100 nationally. Below is a link that will explain it.

Perusing through the list rather quickly, most of the P5 offers were held by Allen, Foster and one of the Bailey kids.

Otherwise its a lot of Syracuse, Illinois, South Florida, UCF types of offers or worse.

I cant believe you are trumpeting a class that had fourteen 2 star recruits, per Rivals.

Last year Iowa's average recruit was .8418, Iowa State had 6 players above that plus Park was at .8417. Iowa's recruiting class was #49 and Iowa State's was #54 and Campbell did that in 65 days. Incredible

Per Rivals, Sean Foster was a better recruit than any player Iowa got last year

This year's class is #37 right now on 247. I'm totally cool with it. Plus recruiting is fluid, I'm sure Iowa will slide quite a bit when they get decommittments and ISU can go up with a Kam White commitment and can also go down when the big dogs add to their classes

I know, it's interesting that ISU offers guys they don't want. Bold move. CMC might be a Jedi.

It's ranked 46th, and the average is already worse than last years average.
