Golf: The Open Championship

Who is ready to watch golf in the morning the next four days? I'm not gonna be contrarian, I like DJ. He's got a good looking tee time at this point with Friday getting windy.

In addition to the regular guys, hopefully former ISU golfer Scott Fernandez hangs around for Saturday and Sunday.

Please remember that the Open is not on ESPN this year- The first 2 rounds will be on The Golf Channel. Early morning viewing for final 2 rounds will also be on The Golf Channel and daytime viewing (after 6 am) will be on NBC.

Give me DJ or Adam Scott.

Pool #1 Adam Scott, Alex Noren, Lee Westwood, M. Kuchar, and M. Leishmann (Pick 5 golfers every major and can't duplicate)

Pool #2a - Cindy (lowest score after two (2) rounds not ranked in top 50 in world), DJ, Westwood, Andy Sullivan, danny Lee. (5 golfers with world golf rankings not less than 128)

Pool #2b - Bubba, Stenson, Cabrera-Bello, Berger, Wiesberger (5 golfers with world golf rankings not less than 128)

Pool #1 pays out $100 for most winnings combined.

Pool #2 pays out $200/round low scores combined 5 some (resets every round), and $200 for overall low score ($1,000 total pot)

Let me know if anyone is ever interested in Pool #2 as he tries to do the Major Tournaments.

I'm normally up around 6am but tomorrow will be about 4am so I can get an early jump on work....and perhaps watch a little golf. I move a TV into my office for the majors.

I didn't realize he was in the field. They just had a brief piece on him, I think it is a replay of today's Morning Drive. Announced him as being from Iowa State and even got the "he's a Cyclone" part right.

I was up at 3am watching..........I have problems. My picks are not playing well (Day, Garcia, Westwood, Fitzpatrick, Paddy and Lowry (he sucked today). Day hit some amazing shots but his putter was awful. Rory and Bubba were going low early - that was fun to watch.

I really enjoy this tournament - i appreciate the 14 hours of TV coverage!

The back 9 is owning players right now.

They had an interesting interview with a guy that's caddied at Troon for 30+ years on ESPN.com. He basically said that with how tough the back is, it creates an interesting dynamic where guys put so much pressure on themselves on the first 5-6 holes to score low that psychologically, it's hard on them when they even take par on the first 5-6 holes.

I wish they would quit talking about record, feel like they will jinx it.
