How would you not have the itch to come back? It's all he knows, every year at this time he goes to the practice facility to get ready for the season. Now he's not doing that. I'm sure we would all get the itch if it was us.

I think the Packers would still own the rights to him. Not indefinitely, but I think it's like a year or two after a guy retires.

He still had 2 years left in his contract when he retires, so technically, he's still with the Packers. If they don't want to have him back because of all the work they've done in the off season to prep Rodgers, then they could release him and he could (God forbid) play elsewhere.
