The Current, a MN radio station, has been listing off the 893 most essential albums voted on by the listeners. It has been really fun listening this past few days as they count down, especially since it ranges all genres.

Here is a link to the list: http://www.thecurrent.org/feature/2016/05/05/893-essential-albums

They are in the 200's right now I believe.

Voters submitted their top 10 albums to make the list.

Anyone else been listening?

Sweet, thanks for the link. I ended up having to download the app to make it work on my Android.

Neighbor posted his top 5 on Facebook. I have 2 of his albums so figure if I crank open the windows and crank up the volume and spin the vinyl on those he can't complain. Right?

The sad part to me, is how many of these I own, wow, I have spent a lot of money on music over the years.

Way too much modest mouse, spoon, ani difranco and other crap to be considered a legit list.

Their Top 100 had better be ******* STUNNING based off of some of those they put in 800-893! Holy ****! Several of those should have been in the top 200 if not the top 100...

A lot of great songs so far this morning. With that said, I have no clue who Bon Iver is.

An artist out of Eau Claire, WI. I think the local angle helped out with him being ranked so high.
You might be right, but I still like them a lot. Justin Vernon's self titled album is good too.

Every time I see the list update I want to scream "this list is horse ****!" but I guess that's the fun of it.
