If cost is an issue maybe do the front now and the back in the fall or something like that. If they are illegal and you get in an accident it is just something else to add to the list of charges.

Cost is not really an issue, been saving for a while, not going to get expensive ones. I'm planning on getting a new car before winter/end of the year. Illegal tires?

yeah if the tread is too low you can get caught on that. Pretty sure youngest brother got a warning on that after a (very minor) hit to a light pole when the bald tires hydroplaned. He actually had the new tires ordered at the time too.

Yeah if you run your fingers through the groove in the tread there is a rib there and once the tire is even with that rib they legally do not have a safe tread level and you can get a ticket....but probably just in Marion.

Two teams (usually...some variations). Mafia vs innos in a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio. Mafia can pm each other. Innos are usually standalone. Innos try to eliminate mafia during the day session; some discussion, everyone votes (mafia AND inno) and one person is "lynched" (voted out). After that person's role is revealed as mafia or innocent, the "specials" take a turn. Special innos have various powers - to "instakill" (one time kill of another player), to "investigate" (ask the mayor what a certain player's role is), or to save (protect themselves from the mafia hit, or protect another player from a mafia hit). Mafia gets one hit (kill)...they try to kill innos (special innos if they guess right). All of these are done by pm'ing the mayor (the game manager), who then announces them during the "night" session. Each morning, repeat - until one team eliminates the other.

Best way to learn it is to just "dive in" and play. Some of the longtime players are VERY good at the game, but having new blood really helps keep the game fresh because noobs can be unpredictable.

I'm even more confused that before I started reading this. I also think I blacked out somewhere in there too.

Standards of Minnesota, Wisconsin probably doesn't have any because that would be governmental overreach under the current Wisconsin regime.
169.723 TIRES CONSIDERED UNSAFE.

A tire shall be considered unsafe if it has:
(1) any part of the ply or cord exposed; or
(2) any bump, bulge or separation; or
(3) a tread design depth of less than 2/32 (1/16) of an inch measured in the tread groove nearest the center of the tire at three locations equally spaced around the circumference of the tire, exclusive of tie bars or for those tires with tread wear indicators; or
(4) been worn to the level of the tread wear indicators in any two tread grooves at three locations; or
(5) a marking "not for highway use," or "for racing purposes only," or "unsafe for highway use;" or
(6) tread or sidewall cracks, cuts or snags deep enough to expose the body cords; or
(7) been regrooved or recut below the original tread design depth, except special taxicab tires which have extra undertread rubber and are identified as such.

Euphemism, I think?

I saw someone driving on 494 a couple weeks ago with a flat tire that was about to blow. Wisconsin plates of course.

Got a bone to pick with the mediacom CY TV channel. They had down today that they were airing the MBB game with OSU which I needed to have shown again because the original broadcast was missing most of the first half due to a wbb game on before. Two of Nader's 3 nasty dunks occurred during that over-run. Instead of said mbb game it was the athletic academic banquet.

Flat at tire about to blow? How does a flat tire blow?

Extremely low almost flat? Saw a guy on 94 Tuesday riding at freeway speed with a left rear tire so low the cars was visibly tilted.

Related to this I frequently see folks buzzing at 70 mph with those little undersized low speed temp spare tires. Dangerously ignorant.

No tire law in WI about tread. Just have to have a tire on the rim. Can even be flat as along as no metal is touching the road.

Current interest speed or carter admin interest speed?

current would be slow I would estimate.

So, if I am running a tracked vehicle in Wisconsin, say my vintage Sherman tank, I would need to be running with the rubber embedded steel tracks and not just straight steel.
