Iowa game at Kinnick under the lights?

With this weak attempt I'm going to throw Dan back in the mix as a potential candidate.

But did Dan ever really post about football (although this guy isn't either, he seems to only be personally attacking you Twins)? Don't get my hopes up. I don't think it's Twilight Zone/Twilight/OVOSound, he is allegedly reformed cause he wants to keep that last handle.

I'm not trolling. I'd rather beat Kansas 10 times out of 10 than beat a team from a poor conference

What the hell does the conference have to do with it? How did you come up with such a pathological obsession?

KU will be one of the worst football teams in all of FBS, again, just like they always are.

Iowa will very likely be ranked in the Top 15 of every major poll by the time they play ISU.

One what planet is the KU game a bigger deal?

How many different names have you had to post under on here because of your general ******-baggery?

That's certainly a strange criteria to which you judge the football atmosphere. Also, why would anyone care the largest university is? Iowa has and always will have the biggest footprint in the state. UCF is largest college in florida, and Miami isn't even top 10 in the state...

It's not hard finding Hawk fans in the woodwork.

All you have to do is mention largest university and here they come running.

The topic is tailgating not how many fans are in the stadium. Got a good chuckle out of the comment by the other Hawk.

If I cant see those fans due to the houses around me are they really there? Tree in the woods type of deal.

Let me know when universities start going to the Iowa model of tailgating. Funny.

I'd rather win a Big 12 game every day of the week than beat a team from a poor conference. If it was an SEC team I'd maybe change my mind depending who it was but otherwise conference games always mean more than a non conference game.

Not much that I can remember but if he came back I doubt he would be posting about basketball with how things ended and Iowa's PG situation next year

In some moronic way SOS will be brought up - something we help you with and you hurt us - to defend their conference which is so good that it's about to cease to exist. Also, it's better to lose to a team by 40 points in the B12 than win every game against some average to good teams in the BIG.
SOS carries a lot of weight, especially when you lose to any team with a pulse and do so in glorious fashion. SOMEHOW that all adds up to an argument.

Pure gold.

"Win every game against some average to good teams in the BIG."

That local JH team is still undefeated.

Lame troll is lame.

Not really. I think most ISU fans, if given the choice between beating any conference opponent or Iowa, would choose the conference opponent. Likewise for Iowa fans. 2005 for example; ISU lost to Baylor at home, and lost to Nebraska, Missouri and KU, all in OT, on the road. I would of traded the Iowa win that year, which is one of the best games I have seen live, for any of those loses.

Just here to chime in that the tailgating in IC sucks.

Still had a good time, but if you give me food, beer, football and friends that will happen! Set up is less than ideal.

I don't think that's true at all. I also wouldn't expect most Iowa fans to say they'd rather beat a Big Ten team than ISU. The casual fan doesn't really care about beating West Virginia or Purdue. They'd rather beat their rival so they can brag to their friends or family on the other side. You're overestimating the intelligence and temperament of the average fan. The rivalry is important to both fanbases. There's only a few inflated and bruised egos that try to claim otherwise.

Dont use purdue as an example. The big ten said that's iowas protected rival in leaders and legends, so that is a big rival.

We all knew it would eventually come to this

Don't doubt for a second that there are enough ****** bag iowa fans to have these be separate people. 90% of their fan base gives the rest a bad name.
