Brutan excepted 4 payments of 250 dollars to play on a team for travel and food. We got screwed. Im still bitter.

The NCAA is all about punishing kids and meanwhile letting systematic cheaters like Syracuse and UNC go to the final four and pick when and how they slap their own wrists.

Did you only apply for one college or did you have other options lined up for if that one choice didn't work out?

The reason why Malou is exploring other options is due to the strong possibility of being ineligible. When people mentioned concerns about his ineligibility 4 days ago you characterized those posters as the "sky is falling" group. I think it would be better to just understand that some people are informed on issues within the program and if you want them to continue to share their insight it would be best for the uninformed to just be quiet.

It's DEFINITELY because they're informed and not just constantly negative Nancy's so they can say "I told you so" the ocassional time their premonition comes true. That's for sure it.

It has less about being right. Because many of the people on this website who post "insider information" already know they are correct. The issue for many of those posters is that the uninformed like to act like they are informed.

So everyone should be quiet because those "in the know" are better than the rest of us? GTFO.

The problem with the people with all that inside info is that they always post all kinds of cryptic **** so that everyone can worship them and beg them for details. Just like with the Malou thing, nobody wanted to say the reason they thought he would be ineligible. They just want to see everyone speculate and panic. It's a bit of a power trip.

Look, if for whatever reason someone knows something, but can't divulge it, maybe those people should be the ones that should shut the **** up around here.

In a nutshell, people kill the messenger when they are given bad news.

It was the same way when the Fred rumblings started last year.

Bad news hurts and people would rather pretend that things always work out the way they envision them.

Strong may be too strong a word. Prohm said he expects him to be eligable but "it isn't a sure thing. It never was." Is how he put it. No need to over play your hand.

Not overplaying anything. I stand behind the term "strong". But fully anticipate we will have other good news within the week to take our minds off this issue; at least temporarily.

Anyone with a scout subscription new Malou wasn't a sure thing because of the college courses he took in Australia. It is and always had been about when the clock started. If they consider his circumstances he will be fine or if they classify the austrain community college as more of a prep school since it wasn't an accredited US school he is fine. If they count it as college and don't consider he was scammed for 3 years he is ****ed. That simple RochClone is acting Iike he new something many of the posters didn't know. It wasn't that big of a secret, granted some posters were overly confident in there assumption it would be all about the JUCO loophole and not considering the possibility there was more at play despite many posters hints.

I hear there will be news sometime between now and when the season starts... Some of it may be good and some may be not so good.

Did I cover my bases enough so I can come back and say that I am in the know?

Also to be fair, some of us said it.

Gross, dude.

Yeah you are. And being overly vague.

How do we know the bonafides of any one poster? There is so much crap on message boards, how can one know what post is legitimate from the many illegitimate? Stating "take my word for it" or "believe me" won't cut it.
