All time great player, all time lousy teammate. He ran off multiple teammates and coaches and free agents didn't want to come to LA to play with him in the latter part of his career.

And he assisted on the two he didn't score. Nice to see him and Shaq have mended things. If they could have put egos aside they could won way more titles.
I think Kobe is/was a great player, but he wouldn't have too many championships without Shaq. You could say the same with other great players, but very few played with someone so dominant at center. Again, I think Kobe is an all-time great, but over half of his championships are definitely Shaq fueled.

Yeah, but in this case: Jordan - Shaq / Kobe - Pippen, at least for those 3 championships in the early 2000s.
First Laker game I have watched all year. No longer a big NBA. Been a long time Laker fan but a little fair weather recently with them sucking. Never been a big Kobe guy but was pulling for him and that 4th quarter was just storybook. Would have sucked if they had lost but his points actually won them that game late. Just a fun happy ending and as a Cyclone I don't get many.
So, you don't have any real discussion then? Kobe is/was a great player, but if someone wanted to pick at his championships, that is the way they can do it.
