Walking Dead

I think it's a bit optimistic to think someone is going to survive multiple shots to the head from Lucile. My wife asked the same thing, hoping whoever it was would survive. I doubt it.

He may not have been hitting the head...Could've been shoulders, then back, etc after the person fell over.

However, the wet sloppy sounds indicated excessive damage (to me)...

Haven't read all about last night, but did anyone else notice Negan made a point to say I'm going to beat the hell out of one of them instead of saying kill one of them? Maybe nobody dies? or am I reading too much into that?
If anybody survives that beating, they are now a vegetable.

I think they tried to portray a head shot when the blood ran down the screen, as if it was a first person pov and blood ran into the eyes.

I am in the camp of it having to be either Glenn, Daryl, Michone, Carl or Maggie for full credibility and impact. I would bet the house they didn't go with the comics line which leads me to believe they ******* out and went with Abraham or other Alexandria guy. I hope it's Daryl. I like his character but that death will hit a lot of people. Would also help bring Carol back in the fold I bet.

My guess is also Abraham followed by Eugene. One person no one seems to think it is is Sasha; I could see it being her though. Some people lean towards Abraham because he seems to be thinking about settling down for a more normal life now with Sasha so it must mean he'll die. Sasha getting killed would accomplish the same thing and then lead to the awkwardness with Rosita still being around.

Just a thought. As I said, though, I think its Abraham as well.

My guess is who dies won't be determined until contract negotiations take place.

Officially done with this show. Not interested in their pointless wandering fighting other tribes. I was more intrigued when they were surviving the collapse and trying to find where there could be a cure. With no potential cure or end to all this, I'm bored.

The BEST part of that I thought was the acting of Rick. The first stop, he was projecting confidence. Smirking, telling them what to do etc. Every successive stop you could see him slowly breaking down. The confidence was leaving him, indecision, etc. I didn't care for the plot line as much but watching him slowly break down over the episode was good writing/acting IMHO.

I totally agree. Andrew Lincoln's non verbal acting during Negan's speech was FANTASTIC. He looked 100% broken.

This is where I'm at as well. I find myself just fast forwarding through the dialogue, as it is always about killing vs not killing. One character gets morals, doesn't want to fight/kill, then they do again, then another character gets tired of fighting and killing, yet then they do again.

Jumping in a little late and probably not adding anything new...

I thought the season as a whole was fantastic. The previous two weeks were pretty dull and didn't do much for me leading into the finale. I probably would have enjoyed it more without social media. The fact that I was expecting Negan and his bat was fairly anti-climactic.

The last ten minutes with Negan were acted phenomenally. The problem with the scene was I kept looking at the clock. I kept waiting for **** to go down. As time kept ticking I became more and more annoyed that they weren't leaving any time for what we truly wanted to see. I knew the show came to an end at 9:30 and Negan didn't start swinging until...9:30. Add that to not knowing who got beat and a good season ended leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Twitter and CycloneFanatic will tell me so and so is working on a new TV show and IMDB says so and so are only in two episodes next season, thus spoiling what could have been done correctly.

Agreed.
No way they could show it in all its gruesome glory, but they could have did it the way it was done here but have the other cast members reaction to the beatdown. Pan out slowly to the mush body and end. They copped out giving people who love to hate the show extra ammo to **** and moan.

It's pretty simple, all they had to do was showed us who got beat down.

Like mentioned in some of the previous comments, I don't think the writers know for sure who they killed off yet

I wouldn't go as far as saying contracts will have a big impact, but I'm sure they're a factor on some level

I get people being ****** about the Cliffhanger to end the season. It is ********, and overall I am getting a little tired of the gimmicks to generate buzz. However, I thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan was ******* badass. His character makes me want to keep watching to see what happens.

I think the writers know. They have stories planned for all of the other characters in the coming seasons, so they know.

They wouldn't have added in the "Taking it like a champ" line if it were one of the smaller characters. That tells me it's Abraham, Daryl, or Glen.

The season was really good until the last 3 episodes or so in my opinion. They attacked a settlement, did not bother to check for intelligence on the actual size of the group. Then after being totally idiotic about not understanding their enemy they go on a bunch of boondoggles and get captured.

They are obviously outnumbered and out matched with Negan's group, and I don't get how they could not come up with a better timeline than to treat the characters like they are idiots.

They were definitely overconfident and now they are paying the price. You can see it in Rick's face when he's on his knees in that circle.

Now they have to redeem themselves and that will be the big story.
