"7.Iowa State (Midwest): Don't dismiss Iowa State being ranked this high because it faced Iona and Little Rock. Don't forget how Iona was the trendiest upset pick not named Yale in the first round. And Little Rock was a very good team; just ask Purdue. The Cyclones won their two games by an average of 15 points and extended the terrific careers of Georges Niang and Jameel McKay. The Cyclones being this high means Virginia-ISU should rate as the best game of the Sweet 16."

I particularly liked the bolded section. I think this will be the best match-up of the 8 games in the Sweet 16.

Beats the re-seeding article I saw that had ISU 15th (ahead of only Syracuse). Tack that SOB up on the chalkboard, Steve.

I'd move Zaga up to 10th and consider flip flopping Indiana and Oregon. Like the article said though lots of parity in the middle.

I like the underdog role here. I think that at a minimum we will have a shot at the end of the game to take it. Should be a good game. My heart however wants ISU to go up by 30 early and then never be challenged. I could easily avoid a heart attack that way...

The CBS re-seeding also puts the three Big XII schools in the top eight with two ACC schools, among others. Interesting that the remaining four ACC schools fall to the bottom half.

After seeing them play in person, I might put Gonzaga 3-4 spots higher.

Same, offensively they looked extremely impressive in person. Utah and Seton Hall looked pretty lost on offense, but Gonzaga was just dynamite. I obviously think ISU/UVA are the two best teams left in the pod, but I wouldn't sleep on the Zags pulling an upset if they keep scoring at the clip they have been.

A hypothetical re-seeding means nothing at this point because it doesn't change our opponent or venue.

Yeah, I stuck around in Denver for the 2nd game hoping to watch a real good game between two good teams, but Gonzaga just completely blew Utah out of the water. They looked Final Four-capable.

I would be surprised if they do not beat Syracuse by double digits.

I'm convinced that the "experts" still haven't watched an ISU game this year.
So much talk about not being able to push pace against Virginia. I don't think they will even try to push pace and they certainly won't rely on it to win. They didn't run on little rock and beat them with efficient half court offense.
