It's not sold out, they sell a ton of SRO tickets because students don't go to games unless ISU in town. SRO tickets get you general admission to the empty student section spots

Or your co-workers are not that smart. Just looked on Iowa's website (my god that site sucks) and there are plenty of single seats available, and 3 sections where you can still get seats together.

Actually they still have seat tickets available now if you would prefer to know exactly where you are going to sit and SRO gets you a seat in the student section. You don't put out a video of your senior PG asking fans to buy tickets if you aren't worried about filling the seats. Pretty basic stuff here

What is the problem with a player asking for fan support? Honestly I don't see the point. Ill be in Carver tonight, and im gonna be loud.

Why would a player need to ask for people to come support them when they are in first place, playing a conference game against a "rival"? Shouldn't that be a hot ticket?

You realize attendance has been down across the country not just Iowa? With TV improving, it is a trend we are going to continue to see, so we have to start somewhere, and Iowa thinks having a player call out the fans will help. It has to be worth a try? You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I doubt Indiana and Maryland who are fighting for 1st place aren't having the same problem. ISU doesn't have that problem either. Even Minnesota has better crowds than Iowa

Every school does these short videos and promos as part of social media strategy now. Trying to turn this into a negative only reinforces my theory on your reason for posting here.
