do you think the IOWA game was the turning point?

reason I ask as it seems as if your team has gone lackadaisical in the end of game situations. whereas IOWA has taken the sting and played alot better in the final 10 minutes of most games than they did vs IOWA ST. it seems as if that game where IOWA went dormant and iowa st capitalized told ISU players that no matter what we can mess around and still win no problem. Whereas IOWA players have seen the worst possible situation and said "never again". Its almost like fools gold. I know depth, Naz, McKay, and the grind of the season are easily much bigger issues but Im wondering of other factors have had a play?

so throwing out the pride of the state, family, friends etc... thing do you thin it woulda been better in the grand scheme of things for ISU is the woulda just went on and got beat by 20 on there home floor to give them that harsh wake up call or do you feel the outcome of that has no effect on ISUs current state of play.

second do you think the relief of beating both OU and KU in Hilton may also reinforce that thought of "if we can beat KU, OU, and IOWA then we should be able to coast thru TT." with the OSU game being so close (couldve went either way) the clones couldve been in the middle of a 4 game losing streak.

I do think if McKay would have made the trip you guys would have won that game but obviously hes not available yet.

It's gotten to the point that I want this team to win for the sole fact of not having to deal with a bunch of emo ******* after ever game.

Has nothing to do with Iowa and everything to do with Naz.

Well it was Naz's last game.

Why does no one (media) seem to mention this? Earlier (can't remember exactly when), CW did say ISU would only have like 3 losses if Naz were playing.
Naz was a huge loss. We could count on him for 8-10 points a game, good defense and he would have been a backup for Monte.

I'd say hitting conference play where we play 1 or 2 top 20 teams a week has more to do with it than your beloved Hawks. Good luck with your game tonight against your conference's 2nd place team that's, what, about 50th in the rpi?

Yep. Naz being injured hurts not only from a production standpoint, but also on-court leadership. Watch some games the last two years, he is always talking and bringing the team together.

The ISU/Iowa game was a turning point for Iowa, not ISU.

Yep, they realized they could play with anyone in any arena that night.

No comment needed.

Is it just me or does it scream "Look at me! Look at me!" when Iowa fans capitalize all of Iowa?

Funny thing is after the Iowa game this team still went on to beat 2 projected No. 1 seeds. With beating Iowa that is 3 of the 4. This team still isn't that far from being great, but they need to get it figure out fast.
